Can we just talk about how much you’ve grown since your “vloging in your car + picking up Dunkin’”days?! I am the teacher of the year at my high school and recommend your channel to the BT’s (beginning teachers) at my school here in NC because you are amazing!! 💞 Keep up the great work!
Hello, I am a high school English teacher in Japan and your RUclips Channel is so helpful. I am watching your channel to improve my English and to get English teaching resources as well since I am not a native English speaker. Thank you very much for sharing so much information about teaching technology.
This is one of my favorite videos you have ever made. It came at just the right time after a defeating week at school. I needed someone to tell me to celebrate each victory, however small, just as we tell our students to do. Thank you for the encouragement, Michelle!
Aww, yay! Thank you Amanda! I'm so happy it was helpful for you! Yes... celebrating all the victories is SO important! I hope you have a great week next week! 🥰🖤
Hi Michelle, I am a primary school Languages Other Than English teacher in Western Australia and have been watching your vlogs since you were teaching year two! I have always thoroughly enjoyed your videos especially your classroom vlogs. You always have amazing ideas and tips and tricks and now I am loving all the ‘educational’ techie videos and of course your podcast with Bridget! I have gained many organisational ideas and tips as well as digital organisation tips that have been a lifesaver for me. I don’t usually comment but I wanted to let you know from the opposite side of the world what an amazing job I think you do!
I loved your vlog and your other videos... I'm really struggling right now to manage myself as I am basically all over the place (office work, spending time with my 7 years old cartoon, my paper crafting hobby/ side hustle, my dragon boat fitness regime etc etc.). I'll start implementing your tips on Google keep and tasks and let's see how it turns out to be... Happy vlogging buddy, all the best and thanks once again, you're doing Great ❤️❤️
I'll be watching this again. Work is draining with all the overtime because we're short staffed and staff keeps getting sick and it begins to feel like the movie ground hog day. We keep having the same week over and over again. Anyway I heard everything you said before from you and other people but I need to hear this over and over again so I get this in my head and start implementing it in my life. So I feel like I'm controlling my life instead of my life controlling me. Great video.
I'm so happy this was helpful for you! I'm with you... sometimes I need to hear things several times before it fully sinks in. But I hope things improve for you! I know working in education is HARD right now. You're feelings are valid!
Can I just say that you are the most helpful RUclipsr on the planet? Your tips are so real and so honest and they ACTUALLY work. You tell people your real examples and give multiple options to help them succeed. You are such an inspiration and I’m honestly saying that you have helped me so much as a teacher, you don’t even know. You and Bridget in your podcast too. It’s fantastic! Thank you so much Michelle for being so helpful and honest with your videos.
Oh my gosh... thank you so much! I LOVE hearing that my tips are actually helpful and that my examples are useful. Thank you for all your kind words and support! I appreciate you more than you know! 🥰🖤
Such great ideas to help get the job done! I’ve been feeling so down lately and just been a grumpy 🦥! This will help get me back on track! I’ve already learned to temper my goals going forward and to celebrate the success no matter how small (something I’m addressing on my own feed)! Thank you Michelle for all your incredible ideas!
Excited to see the Google tasks video. Currently working as a full time nurse and in school full time. Let's just say time is gold and I need to utilize it all!
I have a question. My district does not use Google/Google Slides. Nearpod or Powerpoint is what I use. Have you shown how to do this and I just missed it? You are awesome!!!! Love watching you.
Thanks to you I love Google keep and Google calendar. I would love to see how Tasks works with them. I don't need any more "reminders" if you will, so does tasks work with calendar without adding extra reminders? Thanks for all of the organizing tips. Your slides calendar has saved my school/home balance.
Thank you so much! My video next week will go over how Google Tasks works with Google Calendar 🥰 Hopefully that will help and thanks for your kind words and support! 🖤
We use Google within our school board. I love the integration of Calendar, Tasks and Keep when I’m in my email. I can access right from the desktop in my room and have added them to my phone for access on the go anywhere. Seamless integration.
Hi Michelle! The organizational tools you share and your ideas have been true lifesavers for me. I truly appreciate you! Quick Google Calendar question: I have been trying to share events with my work, personal, and husband's calendars and now have items showing up on my calendars multiple times. What can I do to fix it so only one of each item is visible on all three calendars?
Michelle, you’re amazing! Your videos bring so much satisfaction and motivation. Would you ever consider giving tips for high school/college aged students using similar tips coming from a teacher/entrepreneur? Thank you for everything you do! 🥰
Thank you so much for watching Amelie! I really appreciate your kind words and I'm so happy you enjoy my videos! I've actually spoken to students at a few colleges 🥰 But, I'm always open to more! Thanks again! 🖤
I’ve definitely used the advice from Bridget and yourself to batch plan and prepare lessons. While I’m an Apple user outside of the classroom (the ability to scan into Notes is incredible for record keeping and paper management) having Google Drive and Tasks on our school Chromebooks and phone means I can plan anywhere then schedule time to batch making copies, gathering resources, etc.
Ahh, that's great! I'm so happy you've been able to utilize batching because it saves SO much time! Also, yes! I'm also an Apple user but have come to love Google too... plus it's easy to access on ALL devices.
Michelle, you are so inspiring. I love watching all of your videos. I'm really working on my google calendar. Do you use an actual planner or do you only use google calendar? I've always used a yearly planner that I love and I'm trying to transition to the google planner. Thank you for all that you do.
Hi Shelby! Thank you so much for watching my videos... I really appreciate it! 🥰 Great question! I used my digital planner for all my lesson plans (and other teaching related tasks) while I was in the classroom. Now that I'm not in the classroom, I don't use the Digital Teacher Planner in full but I still use some of the templates like the monthly planning pages and the task tracker. But, I use Google Calendar for keeping track of events and dates. Hopefully that helps! Thanks again! 🖤
First, I love all your videos, thank you for all you do! I have a question about your meal prepping you mentioned and briefly showed in your video today. I love the idea of doing that, but I’m weird about leftovers, especially after like three days lol. Do those hibachi-style chicken and vegetables you made really last five days? I would love to meal prep on Sunday and have all my lunches ready for the week. But I’m worried that by Thursday or Friday they would not be good! Any advice?
Thank you so much Michelle! 🥰 Hmm... that's a tricky question because everyone has different preferences 😂 But, I make the hibachi chicken and veggies on Monday and they are still good (to me) on Friday when I eat them! I don't notice a big difference between the batch I eat on Friday compared to the one I eat on Tuesday (obviously the bowl I eat on Monday is the best because it's fresh). I would say to try it once and see 🥰
I love your videos. They are basically a 360 degree of everything we need. I also love how you take the time and really edit your video so that they are enjoyable to watch. The content is good but the editing totally helps. I notice you get many mini clips or quotes from different shows or references (Mainly The Office). What program do you use for that. Thanks
Love your videos and all your tips and strategies. I got a curious question though how many calendars do you use? Do you use your own digital planner and Google calendar ? If yes how do you separate all your tasks- does it get confusing? Just trying to prioritize myself and be more efficient.
Thank you so much Debbie! Great question! Personally, I used my Digital Teacher Planner far more often when I was teaching because it was an easy way to keep my school responsibilities and personal responsibilities separate. Now, I use mostly Google Calendar for all my events but I still use some of the templates from the Digital Teacher Planner like the monthly planning page and task tracker. Hopefully that makes sense!
Woo! You've got this and can make it to spring break! I hope you have a great last 4 days and then can fully enjoy your time over break (however you choose to spend it) 🖤
I have videos where I share breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner ideas! But, I'll continue to share any new meal prep related things I try in my upcoming vlogs! 🥰
so funny, when you mentioned going to a coffee shop i was thinking to myself ‘i think I’m gonna go to Summer Moon on Tuesday’ and then you said you were going to Summer Moon! lol i LOVE that place, they just put in a new location by my college so I’m over the moon. 😉🥰
Hello Michelle!! I love all of your videos!! Thank you for helping us. I have a video request, can do a video on teacher burnout or something about getting motivation back? Please and thank you. By the way, I thought your parents were moving to Austin?
Hi Heather! Thank you so much! I will consider making a video on teacher burnout but I also have some podcast episodes all about it over on my podcast with Bridget called Teaching to the TOP... you might find those episodes helpful! Also, my parents did move to Texas but they aren't in Austin. They are actually closer to Waco but fly out of the Austin airport so I drove them in order to save them from paying for parking at the airport!
Would you ever consider making behind the scenes with your TPT store? I’m a TPT seller and would love to see how you do things behind the scenes. ❤️
YES! I actually plan to do a mini series all about TpT soon (most likely in June). Stay tuned! 🎉
