The music from this game always sounded so happy. It got me through some real tough times as a young teen with problems at home. I remember emailing the guitarist, Jun Senoue, asking him what kinds of guitars and effects he used. He actually emailed me back, too. Real nice guy. I taught myself to play guitar and to draw because of this game, and over half my life later I still feel I owe it all to this damned game. Cheers.

With the money we got from selling pokemon cards on Ebay and we both made a mint and the following weeks, we managed to get tickets to Sweden as well. Now my mother died last week and i'm never selling my Dreamcast.

This track might not be as long as the previous, but it doesn't slack off in the slightest. It feels like you've entered a location that hasn't been industrialised by the townspeople, unlike the first act... And I love when the azure blue world leitmotif kicks in 🔥

these games man, they had emotion put in them, life, passion, and mainly because they were so hard to make. you had to bring music composers, you had to downsample without wasting the real audio quality, you had to wait for hours for a level to render, months for a designer to finish the textures. now, games became mass-produced by tools, and people who do it "just because", they never have time to think or love the product they are working on, and once a game starts being developed, its somehow yesterday that they need to deliver. I hate our new age of fast-paced technology and mindset, its why games and old tv shows seem so comforting to us, its at a simpler time where if you went back to your home, your boss cant ask you to do anymore work, because the work stays at the office, there's no servers or online meetings to get things done past 5, and the computer you had at home can barley run doom, let alone be a work station. now we are working everyday and sometimes every hour of the day, and if its something creative we are doing, we are required to come up with something so new and great in less time than it takes us to eat our lunch... I cant wait for a time machine, I want to go back to those simpler and slower paced times.

As an old timer who played this game as a 12 year old back in 1999, I'm glad to hear that some people of the younger generation still appreciate this game! A lot of young people will say that the game hasn't aged well, but personally I think that regardless of how badly the graphics age the game itself is still great. Although speaking of graphics, I'm not exagerating when I say that when the game first came out it featured the BEST graphics ever seen on a home console game at the time!

I caught up a little late with Sonic Adventure, when I was already in college. And the music in the game was certainly encouraging and inspirational for me during my personal transformation time. At first this music felt out of place for someone like me who is used to classic 16-bit Sonic Music, which is very unique.
Fire Breather40 Heroes is a successor to this. I heard, that they went over the limits of the Dreamcast, but it was too big. So, they placed Heroes for other consoles.
This song instantly reminds me of being 6 years old, playing this on my brothers Dreamcast. I never got to beat the whole game on Dreamcast because it kept crashing while trying to finish Big's storyline, but I was able to do it a few years later on Gamecube with DX. It's a shame DX was basically a downgrade from the original though.
