Here is the first trailer in the "CW" series! The story the writers of The Flash and Arrow have hinted at for ages, has arrived. Next up for the "CW Trailers" is "CW's The Bat", so keep your eye open for that coming soon.
My new friend over at "The Arrowverse" contacted me after seeing my Update 2016 video and wanted to know if they could have some involvement with the trailer. This trailer is loosely based on their writings and uses their casting choices.

Why are they so afraid to put green Lantern on TV. They didn't do it in Smallville, they won't do it in the arrow flash universe even though they have teased the hell out of it. They did a kinda ok cartoon, but that was all blocky and weird, but even that show had potential and just when it was starting to get good, they cancelled it. They could do so much with a TV show. So many story lines they could use. Blackest Night, Brightest Day, The Sinestro War, Rise of the third Army, Wrath of the first Lantern, New Guardians, and so much more.
i know right?! The series could go on for years and years, it could feature so many characters, both on Earth and in Space, i would be absolutely perfect. I know it's very costly to make this, but i'm sure many would love it, even newcomers, not just old fans.
I think it is two reason: Green Lantern is much more elaborate to realize on screen than the characters used on CW. Doing the effects work for Green Lantern week after week would be expensive, and quickly add up. The studio cannot justify that to themselves after the movie failed, so the risk just does not seem worth taking.
Plus the fact Marc Guggenheim, Greg Berlanti, and Andrew Kriesberg wrote the script for the 2011 Green Lantern movie. I heard that it wasn't used in the final product but I have also heard that their script was also really bad. I don't know who to believe, but that's all I know.
in Smallville I think it would have been too out of place. Other than the Kryptonians they didn't really have any other aliens in that show; suddenly having a vastly populated universe would have been a big stretch and kind of taken away from the shows generally groundedness.
Then the movie happened and I think a lot of people at DC were gun-shy about putting Green Lantern back on screen anywhere, big or small, for a while.
Now that people have generally moved past that debacle, they're planning another Green Lantern movie, and DC/WB goes through phases where they try to keep their movie characters off TV. (e.g. they were forced to kill off Deadshot and couldn't identify Harley Quinn by name because of Suicide Squad)
Uh mainly that would depend on how the budget will be for this series if your doing a Green Lantern series on CW. Sure I am excited if the they get a chance to do a Green Lantern series as the next fan... But look at how the budget runs for all of the CW DC TV Series, most of them are pretty cheep to produce. Mainly either Deadpool or Logan budget. You would have to upscale your budget if your going to have an entire series in space and have it stayed on Earth or Oa where Hal can be trained (or which other incarnation of Green Lantern they'll choose) and have some space stuff going on (Heck look at Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. They're already starting their fifth season up in space so why not) so yeah Green Lantern is a pretty big risk for budgetary reasons. Movies is fine but we'll see for TV.
As a big green lantern fan I approve of this so much
Oh goodness. After the mini-Crisis-type event they'll have this December to shake up the Supergirl universe to probably combine it with the Arrowverse, I'd love for them to do a Lantern storyline in some capacity. A solo series would be hard to do but hey if Doctor Who could afford all their alien planets and Legends of Tomorrow was able to do all its expensive-looking effects, they might have enough assets for like half a season's worth of Green Lantern episodes. Plus, I would just really like to see a Red Daughter of Krypton storyline with Supergirl as a Red Lantern.

They could just use Diggle as the lantern. But yah for flahs they both use Barry. But the lantern movie is going to be a buddy cop movie. Honestly at some point i want them to bring in Batman, so we can have him appear on Superman & Lois and i want them to bring in guy gardner so bruce and pretty much everyone punch him out at some point

WEEEEEEEE! Oh I would so love a Green Lantern TV series, especially if they brought in all the corps over the seasons, starting with the Green and Yellow Lanterns for Season 1, the rise of the Red Lanterns and allies in the Blue Lanterns, Indigo Tribe and Star Sapphires for Season Two, until we got a take on Blackest Night in Season Three with the Black Lanterns and White Lanterns.

+UltraSargent Exactly, you wouldn't want them to throw all seven main corps at you at once, the conflict between Green and Yellow with some inspiration from Sinestro Corps War would act well as a backdrop to a first season, then go from there with Atrious as the main villain in Season 2 with the Red Lanterns.
+UltraSargent Oh and also introducing the Green Lanterns gradually too. Ultimately you'd want Hal, John, Kyle and Guy to all have roles to play of course. And don't make the alien Lanterns backdrops either.

One minor change I would make, change the title to simple "Lantern". I think it fits the CW better and would go with you theme of changing the names around a little like "The Bat".

+irwin3036able Thanks! I'm not 100% sure what you mean so I hope my answer is what you're looking for, but I'm afraid it's nothing philosophical or deep in meaning. I just imagine what myself/the majority of fans would like to see. Then I have to imagine if I want a dark tone or a lighter one. And it goes from there!

Season 5: Flash & Arrow / the War of Light after fighting Krona.
