Appreciate it so much when tutorials come with the reference photo either in the video or as a link. I find tutorials without reference photo pretty useless when considering learning observation and simplification.
I painted this for a present on my moms birthday and it turned out amazing!! My dad even said we should frame it and display it at our living room(i still told them i followed ur tutorial) . Tysm 4 this!
Your videos are such an inspiration to me.I looked for so long to find an artist who really understood gouache and did more than paint in a cartoon style. Your presentations are a joy to watch and pleasant to listen to.I will be watching many more of your videos. Thank you.
Thank you for the tutorials, Jess! ❤❤❤ Learned a lot from you. I did followed some of your artworks, a bit frustrated at first but when I see the outcome, it makes me pat my shoulder. 😍
This is wonderful and I really appreciate how you build out your paintings, especially the background trees. I'm curious, do you find that the pink palette alters your perception of the colors you're using? It's a very nice palette, but for me, I'd be too influenced by the color of the plastic! lol! Thank you for this demo. Lovely work as always! Cheers! ~ Mark
@@JessChungArtit's funny. I used to use blue tape on my paintings, but realized the blue was distracting me. So, now I use black tape. I'm much less distracted now! LOL!! Cheers! ~ Mark
thank you so much, Jess!! you are totally my lifesaver. I have am assignment to make a naturalistic painting and this is very helpful. thank you so so so much!
Wow how does this only have 66 comments WTF?? I love your paintings and technique. Thank you so much for your work and for sharing the magic of your skill with us!!! 💚💚💚 I wish I could support you on your Patreon but I am disabled and can't afford it. I hope that your tutorials help me sell more paintings and if they do, I'm def joining your Patreon. 💚
This painting turned out do awesome and your voice is so calming 🥰 I'll definitely try out this one 😊 just a quick question - is it possible to do all these paintings with acrylics or does it turn out best with gouache? 😄
Yes you definitely can use acrylics! The techniques will be a little different in terms of not using as much water to thin down your paints etc. but definitely still give it a go in acrylics!
I’ve been watching a lot of your vids lately!! I have a question though, would you be intresteded in maybe doing more studies on color theory with gouache? It’s something I’ve been really struggling with!!
I have a question about your water. You don't use much and it gets really "dirty." Doesn't this contaminate your paint, especially your white? Thank you!
I'm questioning the tree "reflections" in the water. The trees, especially on the right are so far away from the water with an island in between the water and the trees; would they, should they be reflected as you paint them?
i did almost 3 paintings based on your tutorials. i really appreciate it so much. thank you for your hard work 💓

Thanks Mark! I've actually never thought about that, I guess I must not be influenced 😂 or maybe I subconsciously am but don't notice it haha!

Hi! Thanks for these tutorials! May I ask which brushes you are using in this one or overall usually?
I usually use Princeton brushes! You can find the links in most of my video descriptions :)
Look amazing🤩🤩
I’ve been watching a lot of your vids lately!! I have a question though, would you be intresteded in maybe doing more studies on color theory with gouache? It’s something I’ve been really struggling with!!
For sure in the future! :)
Very detailed tutorial! :)
Thank you for this tutorial! Love it 💕 Is A5 the size of the paper you use here?
hello Jess loved the tutorial! c: is there any link for the reference photo?
thank you!! yes it's in the description! :)
@@JessChungArt oh thank you! c:
Hi Jess! Thank you so much for the tutorial
Oh yes it is A6 size! Half my usual size so it didn't take me as long to paint. Hope you enjoy painting it :)

I'm questioning the tree "reflections" in the water. The trees, especially on the right are so far away from the water with an island in between the water and the trees; would they, should they be reflected as you paint them?
As Bob Ross said, "You can do anything you want to do. This is your world."
In the reference photo she's linked in the description, there are trees in the left foreground that are being reflected in the water!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Could make a video of how to sell stuff and ho to deliver customers?plz really I need it 🙏
please make poster colour panting tutorial
idk whats wrong my acrylic is so hard to blend . its not full coverage and dry so quickly. and it will patched and have so many strokes
She is using gouache. It is opaque, and can be reactivated with water. I hope this helps.
😍😍
