It was so nice of Tyson to go over everything with you and allow you to film, so you could pass all that valuable information on to us! Between the RV repair and the new truck you guys will be ready for anything! (I still miss the Xterra a bit though.) I'm so excited to see what's next on your Adventures Of A Lifetime! Thanks for bringing us along and keep up the hard work, positivity and great content! By far my favorite channel on the tube!!

    Bish's is a fantastic RV dealership. I wish we had purchased ours from Bish's. Yes there are lots things RV's of any type needs. We have a Class A and although a new 2021 picked up in May I am always checking things here and there. But it is worth it given the fun and adventure we get with the RV and our towed Jeep.

    RV maintenance appears to be a lot like boat maintenance as they both are constantly moving and warping and stressing the frame/structure which will cause all kinds of fun stuff to crack and warp.. Lots of good pointers!! Great Episode!! yeah servicing your own axles can get sketchy if you don't have the right tools and have not done it before but if you have watched someone do it a few times and done it with someone watching.. you can get pretty good at that and save some money.. Camo CAM :) new RUclips channel hehe :)

      Yes it is, when you take your house and toss it around on unforgiving surfaces it takes its toll! So glad you enjoyed the episode and the tips! We know we certainly did :) lol I know we keep talking about how we need to get a GoPro setup for Camo!!

    I’m not sure but when he talked about winterization it sounded like half of it was for when you store it and I believe you guys are going to live in it 52 weeks of the year only thing I do is put a cable around my watering hose that I get from the park so it doesn’t freeze. I’ve never had a problem but I sure did learn a lot and that’s so cool that you guys went in and got this on video TJ how about a tour of your new truck it looks beautiful like to see under the hood and look at your dashboard and I’m sure there’s more cool things on it It’s sure is Purdy

    • @adventures
      @adventures  2 года назад +1

      You are correct that was for storage, we don’t plan on doing that but always good to know just in case! And we are heading south for the winter so hopefully no heated water hoses needed for us!! And we will have to include that at some point :) we also post more things like that on Facebook and Instagram! Adventuresofalifetime.co

    Yeah guys love watching your shows.. I had a trailer and over time the hitch were you use to put on the ball the pin wears out and breaks make sure you grab some for the road.. eventually you should invest in an electrical one instead of ur hand.. sorry I don’t know the proper term for it…

    Lots of good points. I'll say from personal experience the most important is the wheel bearings. He should have shown you how to check the wheel each time you go on the road, and yes, I mean each and every time. Even the times you only stop to eat or grab some stuff from a store. Each and every time. TJ, you simply grab the tire at 10 and 2 and push and pull a few times to make sure it's not coming loose. Add it to the routine as you are checking the lights and coupling each and every time you take to the road. You only have one tire on each side, you don't want one of them over heating and coming off. Ask a trucker how often he checks his hubs. He should tell you every time he takes to the road.
    Did you get the point you should check them every time you take to the road no matter how long or short the stop is?
    And learn how to remove and repack and reinstall the hub properly every season.

    • @adventures
      @adventures  2 года назад

      Glad you enjoyed the video and the tips and tricks! And thankfully they did show us how to do that when we initially bought and picked up the trailer! Thank you for the reminder on that but yes we do make sure to check! That’s the biggest issue with the single axel, does make me worry about a blowout 😳

    • @jwyzdm
      @jwyzdm 2 года назад

      @@adventures I don't think you have much to worry about with a blow out as far as losing control. In fact, you could have a flat tire and not know it which is why you should have your mirrors adjusted so you can see the tires if that is possible with your model. But if a wheel and hub go bad, that's not good but even then it won't be a major lose of control. That small of a trailer is going to go where ever that F150 pulls it, with or without tires.

    A lot of well organized and detailed information. Thank you! Even though I don’t RV, it is really good to know what you are getting into. I think the biggest thing I learned is…, OMG, why are these things so poorly built!? Windows and roofs in normal cars don’t need to be resealed, for example…, and it is expensive for just a box with some furnitures, plumbing, and electricity…. I am not complaining but I am really surprised!

    • @adventures
      @adventures  2 года назад

      Glad you enjoyed the video and honestly they are produced quickly and cheaply so lots of things do break, but I will say that we had weekly and monthly maintenance about the boat as well! I think when you take your house and bounce it around things just break haha. But yes I do agree it is a big expensive box 🤨
