Honestly the game looks jank. You have the patience of a great man to be able to play stuff like this for as long as you do. I for one appreciate it though, you have saved me money, but you have also turned me onto awesome games I otherwise never would have found.
This game has asset flip written all over it. I hope I am wrong, but it smells of it so strong I would not buy it unless a year from now it has really progressed and is still actively being worked on.
If you like hiring mercenaries Kage, you need to play War of the Walkers or Rebirth mod for 7 days. Especially Rebirth when you can send them out to repair your horde base or get materials.

By the way, if you remove the sleeping bag it resets the clock to zero. That's how I was able to have plenty of time to build a strong shelter with traps and barricades and even a crossbow to take them out at a distance behind blocks of woods.

as far as the building goes, it looks like it was modeled after Rust. which ironically had zombies in it's early access but moved to a pvp heavy model.

Very same building mechanics with the plans and the hammer etc, same visuals, same storage system, same crafting table with turn on and off key, also same hot key issue, etc etc. Wonder if it is the same developer and they’ve abandoned the first game.

i love early access games, and play tons of them. i am afraid that it seems there are games that should not be seeing the light of day yet running rampant on steam. this among a million others is definitely not ready for end user consumption. devs need to be more patient with their title and bake more in and put a tiny bit of polish before they release it for money especially.

Build a shelter up the trees, the only safe place as long as you have a way up and back down for supplies.

Idk, slashing and stabbing onto trees and rocks with a knife in order to gain metal ore, stone and wood sounds kinda silly to me.

its not a good idea to get higher mercenaries cos the enemies will be able to see them easier over the bushes and headshot them
