Glad you reviewed these, I've always enjoyed shoes that have a sox type liner. When I want to go on a quick ride these look like the perfect option as I've slide off my pedals and torn up my shins from tennis shoes because I can't help myself doing bunny hops and wheelies while riding in the neighborhood with my kids. Thanks for featuring these, just put in an order.
Just to follow-up, this shoe is crazy comfortable, easy to put on plus has plenty of pedal stick for me. Love this shoe for quick rides / riding with my kids. Also have a pair of Specialized 2FO DH Flat's and although they are super sticky they are a pain to put on as the laces don't budge and the heel lip folds over due to poor / weak construction.
I was thinking of getting a pair of these, I have some freerider pros (they are a bit too grippy and bulky but love the protection) and my daily Sleuths which I love.. Same sole but they move around on the pedal better but you lose some protection and sometimes my feet will pop around on chunder... If you have used the 5Ten Sleuths would you consider them in the same ballpark in terms of stiffness and protection, or is it even a more of a lighter flexible shoe..??? Wouldn't wear them to summit or anything.... or maybe I will.....
Love CB shoes and pedals. I’ve been using Mallet Pedals for a few years and then added Mallet Speedlace Clipped In Shoes. I don’t think I’ll use anything else.
@@StefsMTB Ride flats and 2x's on flow and jump lines only... and to run around town. They are my daily drivers, but I put the Mallet E's on for trail. I had bigger clunkier Mallets that were good, but a true believer the E's now, despite being $100+. I just rebuild my pedals until the springs get sloppy.
Odd question, I was a long time SPD guy, but the narrow shoes and getting old has given me foot pain. I recently got a Pivot Switchblade and “switched” to flats for the first time. Oddly, I prefer wearing Altra trail runners on long rides vs. the 5/10 free riders I have. How do these shoes relate? Toe box size? Flexibility? I’m a local OC rider as well
Crank Brothers customer service is so great! I called them about a broken Speedlace Lock on my BC Mallet E shoes and they directed me to fill out a claim and send a pic of it. A few days later I got it in the mail no charge…and it was my fault.

I have not ridden in the Sleuths, but I'm on par with your assesment.

Mallet E and Double Shots have been my go to for years. I wish the Doubles had pins on the flat side.
@@petedog9581 I feel the same about the 2X Shots. It would make perfect sense. This is the reason I stuck with Mallet 3’s.

Clean looking shoes. Merry Christmas Tony 🍻

Hmmm these don't have the same support as those do I'd say. They are just a but more simplified than other bulkier models.
have you tried ride concept shoes? I just picked up a pair and im really liking them for everyday use and they are awesome on the bike
Not yet!
Sick shoes
enjoyed the video, was not aware of these shoes, will definitely consider getting me a pair of these shoes, thanks
Glad you like them!
Do they fit true to size?
Yep
