I filled out the form a couple days ago for mine. I’m just hoping that the 40amp fuse kit is a real fix and not just a bandaid

Any lead leaving the battery should ALWAYS be fused as close to the battery as possible..

What's with all the fuses? Rowe Electronics' PDM60 and and Amplink modules are solid state, no fuses, and they're programmable.

I’ll check. I’m not sure what isolation rely I installed. Thanks for letting us know.

The fuse is the symptom, not the cause. If a fuse blows in an installation it is because something is wrong. And if it's the cable that catches fire, either there is a problem, or the cable itself is the problem.

Such unsecured applications are grossly negligent. Every hobby motorcycle mechanic knows this from an early age. BTW, a tip on how I do it in my Goldwing. A prefabricated battery cable with a fuse from AliExpress is connected to a battery isolator relay, also from Ali, and connected directly to the battery (note, with a fuse close to the battery). From 12.8 V up (engine running), the isolator relay switches the voltage through (approx. up to 60A). Total cost less then $20.

Reported two instances out of how many sold. Yes I disconnect mine but I think it’s over kill.

Is this a Honda Gold Wing recall? Sounds like an aftermarket problem.
