I love France
As a french, your video is really great, you chose really diverse cities with various landscapes and different culture !
I've not traveled that extensively and won't try to make any comparisons. But we drove down to Les Eyzies-de-Tayac to see the prehistoric art caves. We stayed in La Roque-Gageac. We toured a couple of the castles, had lunch in the garden overlooking the Dordogne, walked the streets of Domme, went to the huge street market in Sarlat... Drove around the countryside. The area captured my heart. Hope to see more of the French Countryside. Sort of thinking about the Alsace for our next adventure.
Definitely try riquewihr if you hit the Alsace region !!
I love France. So beautiful
I'm emigrating to France. Partially retiring and looking to rent for a year or so then buy a place in Languedoc-Roussillon. Real estate prices are reasonable compared to the U.S. Great health care and much safer.
You won't regret it. I moved to Vence, 21 km from the Nice airport, when Trump was elected and have never regretted it. My sister came to visit just before the pandemic, and had a minor mishap on her bicycle. I accompanied her to the clinic nearby for x-rays. When they determined that her ankle was bruised but not broken, they wrapped it and sent us on our way. She asked the nurse for 'l'addition,' thinking that was the word for 'the bill.' The nurse just smiled and said, 'Tous est couvert.'
Welcome to France Jim. Languedoc-Roussillon is a great choice. My parents are living there, in Agde. I'll be happy to be your first friend in the Region 😁
I LOVE this area. Would love to emigrate to this region too, one day.
My brother sister and I bought a 4 story stone house with 3 bedrooms and all very large rooms, and a roof terrace, for $90,000 Australian, in 2013. In the Languedoc in a little village with 2 bakeries, near Beziers.

Certainly one of my favorite country to visit.Vive la Belle France 🇫🇷.
I’ve been in France for several times, but none of the cities you’ve mentioned above. But Mont St. Michelle is in my itinerary for nexts trip to France.
Try to visit in an off-peak period to avoid the crowds otherwise the crush of people can blunt the charm.
So many treasures in France, in Bretagne alone there is the château de Josselin, the city of Quimper, the Nantes Brest canal, so many lakes and forests and beautiful coastline which could be the Caribbean in the summer!
Just discovered your channel! Wow!Stunningly dreamy footage, with stirringly beautiful music & eloquent commentary. Love the videos!!!😁👍🏼

Very beautiful citys. I like the french riviera. Take care. Looking forward to your next video. Watching from Germany.
I've been to Annecy for work. It is beautiful and the people were very friendly. I want to back as a visitor.
Well explained. Cant wait to see part 2.
Video would be even better if after showing town name, you had a map of France then zoomed into the department and town so we would be oriented. Lovely video. I’ve added some to my vacation plans.

Palm trees in France!surprising😊
Well, not really, the South of France has a mediterranean climate, especially the French Riviera which has a climate similar to California ;)
ETRETAT, COLMAR and CHAMONIX are my favorites !
Gonna be there. Beautiful.
i like your voice and your english accent, you put it down that relax me
WOW VERY BEAUTIFUL PLACES I LIKE IT VERY MUCH
Have stayed in 8 of 10. Missed the 2 towns in Normandy and Bretagne. Have cycled about 10k km in France over a 6 year period. All on this list are exceptional. Well chosen. Have to go back to Chamonix in particular because the weather was foggy and we couldn’t visit L’ Aiguille du Midi, my main reason for being there. You could probably pick another 10 just in Provence especially the Luberon area.
8 out of 10 is a solid score 👌🏾
For me you can find mervellous small cities in the east of France : Bar le duc, Verdun, Langres, Beanne, Troyes, Besançon for example.
Colmar is a great choice. It blew me away with how gosh darn pretty it is.
Also, as a bonus, there is a mini Statue of Liberty on a roundabout as you enter the town by car, as Bartholdi, the designer of the SoL, was born in Colmar.
I recommend you then to visit Belfort and its very known Lion, a statue which was also made by Bartholdi after Belfort resisted against Germans during the first French-German conflict of 1870. Belfort was part of the Alsace and got separated from her because Alsace became part of Germany until the end of the first world war in 1918. The history of the eastern part of France has been very tricky because of three wars between Germany and France (1870, 1914 and 1939).
Beautiful! Take a look at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lion_of_Belfort
Fantastic video.. well done..👍
Those are really wonderful towns

I wonder what Etretat was like - beside having cliffs!
its a nice Norman little town , with cliffs !
Darun
Demais!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Vezelay , in 1 hour you have seen everything in the village !
Colmar is nice, so is Strasbourg a larger city next by with much more to see from medieval building, bridges, museums...
Annecy old town is very nice
Menton, not my cup of tea
Etretat, one hour and take the road
Chamonix, summer or winter its nice to see, especially if you like mountain activities
Mont st Michel, amazing to visit and visit again
Anyway, France has hundreds of nice places to see
If life provides --time &. money , certainly only tour the France will give entire Europe in one go.

Belle Isle ( Bretagne )
I love france and her people. I lived there for 19 years. The bureaucracy is murderous
I heard it’s terrible for getting a flat ?
@@LifestyleHal the major towns are still vibrant but as elsewhere in Europe people are leaving for the countryside
Too bad that tourism has become such a luxury in France, Italy, Spain that only the rich can afford it.
Is not true Italy is only for few rich people... You can make a great tour from north to south eating with few € and sleeping in amazing ancient buldings... Italy is not only Rome, Florence or Venice
@@marcocasella387 It's okay, because I have family in both France and Italy and I just stay with them. In Spain, I have friends. In Spain, the camino is cheap. But, everyone wants to see Rome, Florence, and Venice.
@@marcocasella387 I know. My family is from Italy. I usually stay with them when I visit. Therefore, very cheap. I've been to many places. But when people travel to Italy, where do they want to go? Rome, Florence, and Venice.
@@jacqueschevaux7654 J'ai des amis a Paris. J'y visite souvent. @@LifestyleHal Awww....dont cry. Its ok. youll make it big someday with this stupidly saturated "tourist" videos. Stand out from the crowd and maybe ill sub.
It is Menton not Maton and Cannes is pronounced "Can" not "Cans!"
No visit for me until they remind their travel restrictions.
i hope this could reach Bil gates..
Hello Bill gates ...have been visited all this lovely places ....
its nice places i hope you to have a rest from working and take a vacation at these nice places
I cannot speak french though
Nice scenes but simultaneous music and chat . . . .Nah! Wish you well.
Honnestly, there is not much interest in chamonix. It’s exaggerated to put it here
Thank you. Please polish your pronunciation..... thank you. Blessings
Not Viselay, Vézelay, the first e is NOT pronounced like and i (in French), you need to learn to pronounce the town names properly
Merci
Disappointing choices in France. Not by their beauty but because you have not ventured off the tourist tred path. Why?
Because I can’t put all my eggs in one basket. Plenty of videos to come
Conclusion: the more videos you make the more mediocre each one will be?
Don’t go. France is a no go area until macaroon is gone….
Please!!! Sort your mouth noises! And it's Canne not Cannesssss!!!
No can do - it’s my trademark !!
Italy more beautiful than France
The selection is OK, although quite predictable except for Carantec, but the narrator's pronunciation of French names is disastrous (Menton). He will earn no points with French speaking viewers like me.
🤣
He tried his best, he worked for a video to promote France, come on Thierry, just respect him more.
Great selection,I visited most of the places mentioned in your video. Honorable mention to Honfleur in Normandy and Gordes in Provence.
it is just the most beautifull country of the world
Totally agree with all your choices! They are absolutely beautiful. Hard to pick though when the whole country has so many beautiful places to choose from.
Yes it’s very difficult - I am sure any person doing the same would have a different set of choices -
Thank you for the memories! I'd visited all but a few of these. There are SO many gorgeous and charming spots in France and the diversity of "flavour" is astonishing. Two other favourites include Honfleur and Sarlat.
Carcassonne is beautiful but don't go there during summer/main season You can go crowd surfing then.
Lovely choices . . . beautiful pictures . . . . commentary lost in its battle with the music. Wish you well.

In the Med: Antibes, Biot. In the Pyrenées, Pau, Lasseube ; in Lot, Milhac........oh, there are so many big and small places. Grenoble, Chambéry, Annecy. St Emilion is a tourist trap! Go to Roanne. The Bay of Arcachon.
Roanne is next to Lyon, there's a gastronomic restaurant called troisgros? Bay d'arachon is in Aquitaine by Biaritz?
@@alainbergeron4520 Yes, the Troisgros resto is n Roanne; Arcachon is just south of Bordeaux, where all the “darces “ are: the oyster shacks!

If you plan to visit Vezelay go also to nearby Semur-en-Auxois
I will add Locronan, Bretagne
One of the well preserved town in France!
Locronan in Brittany, France, land of my ancestors.
I love Locronan, but it is a village. You spend an hour there, not a weekend. Actually in his list I thought that le mont saint michel was a little out of place.
Gorgeous places.
I am so glad I found this channel with its stunning imagery, music, and low-key commentary. It was so nice to return to Vezelay after 20+ years. I have much catching up to do but live only a few kilometres from Menton with its three-star restaurant Mirazur, named the world's best restaurant in 2019.

Hello
Show the map not only in the beginning would help a lot.
You must have done ZERO research!!!! you said there was nothing to see in Colmar!! Frederick August BARTHOLDIE was born and lived there and I visited his house when I was in Colmar! that's a big deal. you must have really made the people from Colmar really happy when you made this video! NOT !!! HELLO STATUE OF LIBERTY! ONE IN PARIS ONE IN NEW YORK! JEEZ!!!
Usually I don’t answer people who clearly don’t listen to the videos and run straight here to write stupid comments- but today you are lucky - I didn’t say nothing to see in colmar! So maybe look in the mirror when it comes to research. If you write to me like that again it will be the last! Next time be respectful with your communication it doesn’t cost you anything
