her scream always sounds a little funny because she’s screaming in a way that isn’t harmful
also in this performance it was more of a robotic like sob, like she was cryinggg it was so well done the entire performance concept was brilliant
what people don't understand is that the "scream" part isn't supposed to be rooted in technique. the lyric is "i scream inside to deal with it like ahhhh" it's simply her letting out those emotions. in this version she went more for a maniacal sob rather than a rage scream.

she tried out a different scream here, it was more of a cry tbh ! i think it fits the theme, “it’s my birthday & i’ll cry if i want to” vibes

the scream can't be as harm as a scream is as she's singing live, her voice isn't that though in live. but she's GOING to improve her scream for her upcoming tour because it's gonna take 6 months of tour and she's gonna scream full straight 😂😂😂

the scream is because the line said i scream inside to deal with it. That's why it's not a full scream
I love the live performance of this on Olivia’s youtube page called like live from rehearsal much more because of that scream she does sounding incredible in that video but this is good too. Love Olivia.

Loved the performance. And still pretty sure it's a parody of a former...person or 2 in the industry. Just the fun lyrics and the sweetness of the verses, and the juxtaposition of the punk rock edgy and LOUD chorus. And the over the top theatrics, which could just be talking about herself and behaving such, or another 2 performers known for dramatic, character choices in her songs. Like the scream that represents teen angst, and how every moment your hormones, neural pathways and plasticity, prefrontal cortex not developing fully until 25 ish, (supposedly as i haven't done further research/ reading on it), leading to all sorts of issues! That and the actual vocals etc must have been great to experience her singing it live for the audience.!

The screaming can hurt her voice if she does it a lot so she’s got to find ways to not damage her vocal cords every time she performs
