Very nice. I just started using custom-button cards after having home assistant installed for about 6 years. What I haven't been able to find is a way to control a fan with a light. I've converted 3 fans in my home with sonoff fan controllers (2 and 3) but my wife doesn't like looking at different places to turn the light on without the fan and visa-versa. Any suggestions how a custom button card would work in a case like this?
This is amazing sir, very detailed explanation. I would love to see something similar but with home heating, tmv values, temp sensors, boiler control etc. you make it all so neat a doable 👍🏻

Question. in the new tile card it is possible to add a icon button inside the card so you can press on the tile card to turn off/on and you can use the icon button to navigate to something else fx scenes or another action. So my question is can you add a button inside the button card?

The card uses HTML and CSS coding, and that's what I've shown throughout my Custom Button Card series. and there's plenty of sites out there for CSS reference - No JAVAScript needed.
@@3ATIVE ah I've been trying to put CSS into regular cards, but you need a custom card to do so, not just code editing an existing card. my mistake, Thank you for your tutorials. That's what I get for jumping in in the middle of a series...
@@3ATIVE Yes! The coding. Really nice to be able to add that to cards. What I'm never clear on is which cards support CSS. I'm playing around with Mushroom cards at the moment and some of this will be useful.

You could have the button respond to different touches. E.G. Short press to turn on the light and a long press for the fan.
