Finally, a clear explanation on the settings for slow cooking! Thank you. As a new user, I was trying to find out how to adjust it to the highest temperature.
I want to thank you for making an instructional video simple, to the point without a lot of nonsense. I was extremely frustrated trying to figure out the slow cooker on my dual instant pot you were able to explain it very simply and show us how to do it. I thank you so very much for this video. When an Instant Pot is being used to slow cook, Less = Keep warm for a crockpot, Normal = Low for a crockpot, and More = High for a crockpot. Make sure that the vent stays in the open position.
Thank you for showing the pot controls. It was clear and well stated. I am old & can't see 🥸 you are the only who show by clicking the slow cook button.
Thank you so very much!!! I could not figure how to raise the temp. I was about to dump my food into a real slo cooker. You just save me a big mess! 👍🥘

@UCel9UAY-RQyG-d8bjcktZR%F0%9F%98%8Ag Yes, but you probably already know you don't use the sealing valve if you are using the instant pot as a slow cooker.
Thanks for posting this slow-cooking vid with the instapot. I am planning to cook a beef brisket using the way you did it with the valve off. My question is, is it safe to open the lid at say, 2 hrs so i can add some veggies? Or like if i want to check the seasonings, can I open at anytime and continue with the cooking just like a regular slow cooker? I know the valve is off but i just want to be sure it's ok and i'd like to know if you've done it like that.
That's a great question. Yes you can open the lid at any time. Since you are slow cooking and the valve is off it is safe to add veggies or whatever you like. Thanks so much for watching my video. Would love to hear how your brisket turns out. :)

amber manley thanks so much for watching my friend. The first thing you’re going to want to do is sauté your ground beef and drain the fat out. If you are using a very low fat ground sirloin or something like that you may want to put like a tablespoon of grapeseed oil in before sautéing the meat but if it’s regular ground beef you don’t need that. Now add all the other ingredients and stir. Put the lid on but do not seal the valve. Set the timer for how long you would Cook your chili in a crockpot. Probably 3 or 4 hours. I would check it after two hours just to be on the safe side. I hope this helps. Would love to hear how it turns out. 💕
@Helen Weatherby, thank you for watching my video. I don't know if you noticed but after searing the meat on all sides, I cooked it on high. The meat was done but it was not very tender. Another hour would have been much better.

amber manley thanks so much for watching my friend. 💕
amber manley You might want to sauté your onions with the ground beef if you add onions to your chili. It’s totally up to you.
The Ginger Optimist THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Yum 😋
Thank you Roxanne Spence. It was delicious! Thanks for watching sweet friend. Blessings! :)
Looks like food from Medieval times
Thank you so much for watching Simon Jenkins. Have a great week!
Yummy
Thank you 😊
I’ve had ribs in for 5 house on the more setting & they are still raw😭
Oh my goodness! I am so sorry. Did you figure out why it wasn't working?
Three hours is nowhere near long enough for chunks of meat that size.
@Helen Weatherby, thank you for watching my video. I don't know if you noticed but after searing the meat on all sides, I cooked it on high. The meat was done but it was not very tender. Another hour would have been much better.
😝 recipe looks sooo dry
It may have looked dry, but it really wasn't. The only thing I would do different is cook it longer so that it would be more tender. Thanks so much for watching! :)
Feature doesn’t work for shit. Don’t bother, you’ll only have to throw it all out after hours of just sitting there.
So sorry this didn't work for you. I've used it as a slow cooker, but I much prefer to use it as a "quick" cooker. Thanks for watching! Hope you have a happy new year!!
You are supposed to use a glass lid when slow cooking. If you are not going to use it correctly please do not give a demonstration .
Why does it have to be a glass lid when slow cooking and does it really matter that much?
Peggy Napier that is a great question. I did more research and you really do not have to use a glass lid you’re welcome to but you can actually do as I did and use the lid that came with the pot. If you read in your manual that came with instant pot at least my manual said you can do either. Thank you so much for watching my video friend. Blessings! ❤️
starlite556 Hey my friend I went back and did some research and in the book that came with my instant pot it actually said you can use a tempered glass lid or the instant pot lid. Hope you have a great day! Blessings.
I had a comment here stating so. The official instant pot RUclips channel shows only using the lid, with the vent open of course. The glass lid is an add on for convenience if wanted.
Bev yes that is what my ip book says too. 😊
Sound sucks, buy a microphone
Simon99 I am so sorry you are having difficulty hearing. I am using a microphone. I just listened to the video and it was loud and clear. Please double check and make sure you have your volume all the way up. Hope this helps. By the way, thanks for watching. :)
Sound is fine you are just deaf.
