@@lasenoritacometa1977 ambient lighting is tied to the headlights. If the headlights are off, then the ambient lights will also be off. To change the ambient lighting go to - CAR > SETTINGS > AMBIENT LIGHTING. You then change them from automatic to manual. This option can be found on the top of your screen when in the ambient lighting tab of your car settings.

Matter of opinion. I think they’ve done some positive upgrades to the looks, like getting rid of the fake exhaust tips. One of the great things of VW is they kept manuals in the base model jettas vs a civic you have to opt for the highest up models, touring, si and type r.
