He’s genuinely surprised by the fact that he doesn’t view Blair as disposable (like all the other girls) because he had genuine feelings for her beforehand. You can even see that Blair is instigating everything after the burlesque show. She’s the aggressor in the situation and Chuck is the timid one lmao.

I love that when anything good happens to me, the first person I wanna tell is you.” Something good happens and who does he tell? Coincidence? I think not!

even in the pilot you could tell they matched each other well , with that shot of them together and how they looked at each other, you could tell they would be a good couple. Plus they had so much tension and even in 1x03 they seemed like a married couple
