Interesting/fairly simple study could be.. If the jaws were set to run 3/4 or 5/8 materials from concrete slab chunks would crusher output be suitable as complete sand/aggregate components for fresh concrete (in terms of stone and fine). If yes, this opens an opportunity to batch mix concrete on-site with a 1 or 2 bag mixer. Maybe just right for small to medium driveway tear-up/replacement.
This is exactly what I want one for. Our 10 mile road is considered unmaintained County, and they don't maintain. Dozens of grader operators of the years tried unsuccessfully to grade it by pushing the fines and rocks over the edge. I plan to use an excavator to reclaim all this material and crush the bigger stuff.
In my experience living on a gravel road with a gravel driveway this method is temporary at best. The potholes will be back in no time. It may seem counter intuitive but you have to dig those holes out because right now they have been compacted into a bowl shape and act like a soup bowl. No matter what you fill them with it will just get bounced out. That rock will not embed itself into the base rock, it will remain loose. Destroy the bowl with a ripper then grade the entire road smooth without hidden bowls filled with loose rock.
you should make a version that is mounted on a 3 pouint hitch system to be tractor mobile and tractor PTO driven , that would definately be big in Europe if you can get price to no higher than 3000€ , probably would also be big in the USA
Grandpa's farm in Kansas didn't have rocks. I remember dad saying they hand dug a 5 foot well. At 185 feet they hit a gravel seam a couple feet thick. They dug a little further and that was the water sump. The only rocks on the property were meteorites.
How does that crusher adjust the crush size of rock? When you go from larger to smaller does it move the fixed plate closer or the moving plate closer? I'm assuming the former but wanted to ask. Cheers
if you add a little clay to the pothole, wouldn't it last longer? i tried this by pouring gravel into 5 potholes and within a few trips the hole was open again.
Yep like marbles in a glass bowl with water in the hole, simple box blade with tines to break up the 4” of top packed shell then drag it smooth. Its called driveway maintenance for a reason, i want one of these because of 4 dumptruck loads of rocks that was dumped on my property prior to me buying it. May be just cheaper to use it for a base in the soft places then buy new stone for the top coat
another cool idea Jason :) maybe another thought add the crushed rocks to 4 to 1 cement and spread it out on the road :) then maybe when it rains it will concrete up :) just an idea might need sand too :)
Hi I'm from Guatemala country Now still make install Jaw crusher machine The frame work for hook truck loading I will be make a video when finish my project And I will be put you tube 😉😉😉 Sorry for my bad English
The last place I lived even after twunty years t still never ran out of rocks or boalders I allwase wonted a grizzly and a crusher I gave away over 80 yards of rock and the hole time I was buying gravels for driveway road all of it ! I still believe I can poot one to good use . I do not believe in barying rocks after you have just spent the energy to dig it up . How many times do you whont to dig up the same rock !
This is a sure way to destroy your back having to bend over and pick up rocks the whole day. Just feed rock with a conveyor belt in a single spot and haul the crushed material with a dump bed. Why make life difficult for yourself?
a little swing arm attachment to direct where the material falls out of the crusher might be handy- sort of like what cement trucks have
Yellow locktight might solve the jaw plate loosening. Works well on rear brake pad brackets quite well.

What's the Price on this Unit?
Jumping Jack or Plate Compactor and you are Golden! Great video, Jason!

Looks like a lot of fun. Keep up the great videos.

we enjoy your videos, ALOT of potholes there huh!! i live in a city and work in a factory so its cool to see another way of life, im envious..

Wow! Great idea and machine 👍
Maybe turn the hopper around for a truck mounted version.
Great idea for concrete company, they always have scrap concrete to dispose of. Thanks for another great video

Rick dees - From my time looking at Jaw Crusher Videos, I am pretty sure, the Moving Plate, has the Gap Adjustment Control, on that side!
@@robertweekley5926 Thanks Robert.

Clay, Portland Cement, etc!

A good day to do it, I bet the foggy 🌁 weather helped keep the dust down.
That is an exceptional idea !!
And the next day dnr trenches the road and putts up more red tape ,welcome to Washington.
Silicosis has become a big issue here for people working with stone, is there any way you could eliminate the dust with water spray?
@Semi Interesting I don't think he cares.
How about making a model to be powered by a tractor's power take off (PTO) mounted on the tractor 3-poiny hitch?

What a awesome machine! Im in Whitesville WV our long driveway has so many holes definitely need one of these plenty of rocks here
How cool is this!?
Do you wear a respirator when you cupel and smelt with lead
Hi I'm from Guatemala country
Now still make install
Jaw crusher machine
The frame work for hook truck loading
I will be make a video when finish my project

Oh id had to see old stone work crushed ive seen some beautiful stone homes i grew up in Ohio and those old stone bricks are beautiful
Looks like alot of fun.
Love to see something like this with a 3-point hitch to attach behind a tractor.
Its a good crusher, better for quartz gold ore,to slow for pothole filling!a road grader would be faster!
How much is this portable crusher?
This is great!! Needed this for my ranch!. But for forget the potholes, through in the quartz!!!!😁⛏🪨
This is a good option that road crews would be wise to use. Even Washington roads are worse than California now.
haha
That’s a great idea 🍻👍
how much would that machine cost shipped to Ireland
How do I get a price for one of these?
should we know the price too
so geinus idea````I never thought of taking our equipment that way.
Why is your helper taking all the shoulder rock and placing it in your pot holes also?
Can you not create enough fines for binder with your crusher??
Another great video..., 👍
Super vid, as usual. What gauge is the sheet metal for the hopper?

damn this is a cool machine. we need them in Michigan, as they won't fix our roads.
Where is your ear plugs or ear muffs
what a great machine !
I so need one of those
Nice
Looks like tire cutter rocks
YOU SHOULD BUT 2-4 LOCATING PINS ON THAT STATIONARY PLATE. THOSE BOLTS WILL KEEP GETTING LOOSE IF YOU DON'T. LOOKS GOOD THOUGH 👍
Aah, the good old Wet Coast...
Alternatively, you could spend 20 seconds in a grater or tractor with a rear plow.
Mount it on a skid steer, with hydraulic motor,
Thats a wise good idea ,
What a slow process to fill up holes.
I sent a email with my info and no one has gotten back to me it’s been 2 months since
Sorry we misses you the first time. Send an email to info@MBMMLLC.com and I will make sure we receive it, thanks
I wonder if you have a camera in the back of your truck? Otherwise you have x-ray eyes :-)
I think you need to trade those stones. Buy a crystal flash light.
attaboy
Looks like my driveway. Or a bombing range.
👍👍👍👍
Cool video. Not something I get to see every day

Please lower your Mic gain! your voice is clipped and distorted...
Hi bud I emailed you
No ear protection? Must be going deaf pretty fast....
👍👍👍
