I have watched so many of these mining videos and finally someone explains things where I can understand how the heck this all works! Thank you for explaining how the gold travels and collects in the quartz, so thankful to finally get some understanding of this amazing world you live in. Fascinating they were doing this in the 1800’s with much less technology, very hard and dangerous work those miners were living. Stay safe!
One thing is for sure. Jason works his ass off on these mines. Old school determination. These mobile setups are genius and very function for a one or two man operation.
I just wanted to thank you for teaching me so much. I don’t know why but this stuff is fascinating to me from start to finish. I would come work for free just to absorb the knowledge you have! Thank you, I love all of your videos!
Hi Jason, You always upload great video’s but this one was really in the excellent category. From inside the mine to processing and finally the finished product. Really good work and thank you for your hard work in the rain. That’s an excellent system you have there. From Down Under Cheers Mate Mark
still a great rig ausome set up. I would add a metal tube roof that you can put a tarp on keep you and the equipment dry. And a jack all to use on the truck to level sluice run. still quite hard to improve on that set up, good work.
This is a very good job of explaining the basics of hard rock mining! I have read a bit and watched a lot of videos about historical mining and I think you have a great knack for putting in such a way anyone can understand. I would love to go underground in WA gold mines, been in a few in Oregon here. Gracias
I always enjoy listening to somebody who really knows their craft. Whether it is a master electrician, carpenter, mason, plumber, computer scientist or in this case a miner. Their vocabulary alone is indicative of their thorough understanding of the subject matter. Thumbs up!
Thanks to the great RUclips algorithm I found your videos. I won't ever be mining for gold, but I really enjoy your teaching style. I'm impressed with your knowledge of geology and chemistry. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and documenting your work.
Appreciate the amount of work you go to, making sure you get close-ups so we can see the bubbling molten metal, and varying point of view. I'll never be a gold miner but I really enjoy your videos.
Here is a great 👍 idea that will help your back and time. A small portable feeling belt up to the level of the truck system or ground. You could also just carry the fulcrum legs, belt, 3-4 8’x12”-24”+ sectional with motor. If it works out for y’all like I know it will please consider a royalty for the plans especially if you sell them we could talk further. I truly hope y’all took samples and made some thin sections to get some ideas on the original grain sizes before the crusher and grinder.
Nicely done Jason! Always appreciate you sharing your findings with us! That's got to be an awesome feeling to spend 3-4 hours and come back with over 1/4 oz of gold.
Something that just peeked my curiosity when I was hooking up shredder to my Kubota compact tractor. You could probably work up a model of the mobile hammer mill and sluice adapted for PTO off of a small tractor. I would imagine a lot of small miners have compact tractors with front end loaders for moving material.
so it's mainly a crushing and grinding unit to get powder around 1mm. Then gold trap and gold pan to recover the gold. It's for small scale capacity, exactly suitable for the small miners or whom pay interest in gold rush.
Great video, I really appreciate the way you explain some of the terminology, it makes it much easier to understand the layout and what was being done, it must have been scary at times. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞
Watched this video several months ago and here I am again, it's really cool. Makes me want to get into gold mining, or at least marketing the hardware for gold mining.
This is an excellent video and the gentleman speaking knows what he is discussing very well. With my many years experience as a mining engineer and an experienced UG and surface miner, this is an excellent explanation of hard-rock mining.
Thanks you actually showed me something I didn’t know now I have some more knowledge to work with. Very interesting unit that you got I’m going be looking into something like that for my claim.
I have a question. If you ran the rock thru a crusher ( like this) and a second crusher ( of a much finer size) for a smaller size would that be better?🤔
Why not run the cons right through AR ? Wouldnt have silver to deal with after the button. really nice though.I want to go to Idaho and try your system there. Thanks for the Video. .
Great educational video. We've just got our first couple of leases through in Western Australia so I need to learn as much as I can of processing the rock...Thanks.
If you use a graduated cylinder with water displacement to determine the volume of the button , you can infer it’s specific gravity. In that way you can interpolate the percentage of your button that is actually gold.
Nice presentation Jason. Really shows your experience in the subject of gold mining. Well equipped also. Very good operation, both at the shop and at the mine. Stay healthy and safe.
K I'm chatting to much here ,,, but I would love to see you get that truck up there and how you set up the truck before you left..love this stuff Jason thank you
Dude - I dont usually comment on your vids, but really enjoy them.... This one is awesome... I love the rain, and the just getting out there and doing it. Chur from New Zealand.
This is awesome! What do you mean by "develop it from the outside"? You dont have to go inside the old workings? Does that mean blasting a new tunnel? Im soooo happy I've found your channel and these videos, I feel like a kid on Christmas morning whenever a new one comes out. This is all so fascinating and exciting to me, and as far as i know theres nobody else doing this and documenting it at all, and especially not so well. Thank you Jason!
how many pans? as you didnt have anywhere close to 10g at 31:57 seems like you added more then shown. I really enjoyed the trip though your mine very interesting.
Love your video’s Jason. Looks like you have some work ahead scaling, rock bolting and screening, can’t wait to see that video. You obviously enjoy what you do and thanks for sharing with us.
That was awesome video. I totally liked the set up from the jaw crusher to hammer mill then sluice box in the back of a flatbed truck. I wished I had a smaller version of this setup. In since, I am kind of learning the gold mining process. But with the 20plus years experience in grade work digging in the ground. And building things such as this would keep me busy.. lol.
Mobile milling, nice job. Like Sticking to the basics. To bad some of our leadership in the country could learn more that. Hard hats off to you. Good job!!! How much are the bags to hold the tailings. Would you sale them. Winter time work, sit in the garage and become a pan pro. Then hook up propane and the steaks maybe a wobble pop or two for lunch. Maybe some melting. 👍 what would you recommend first, Jaw Or Hammer, what $anC of the matter. Dose it rollup the gold, or dose the water injection limit the that from rolling balls. Thanks!!!
You are very intelligent and knowledgeable in your field of endeavor. Also, thanks for taking time and explaining the mine, vein, etc.... very interesting..
In your sluice does your riffles fill up and blow out the gold the looks full of mud. Wondering if the gold cube would work or he is making a centrifugal gold recovery machine.
That was really really neat 👌 I've never seen the process before.I like watching these kinds of videos very good insight .I wish I could do that some day.Thank you for showing me.

YEAH, JASON ROCKS... I WATCH HIM THE HURD LIKE EVERYDAY. I LIKE IT BETTER THAN EVEN GOLD RUSH... NOT ALL THAT DRAMA...
One thing is for sure. Jason works his ass off on these mines. Old school determination. These mobile setups are genius and very function for a one or two man operation.
This is deff. The best Mining and prospecting channel on all of RUclips!
Finally a gold video that gives you what you want.
Appreciate you taking the time and effort to explain this to us all. *in the rain*
The rain is something you learn to live with in this area, since it does it approximately 9 months of the year.
@@r.awilliams9815 9 mos of rain! Oohhh that sucks!
At least you don't get 7 or 8 months of snow, like in Flagstaff AZ.
But yeah, I would suppose you do get used to both rain and snow after awhile.
You can pick your day but you can't pick your weather.
He needs better lights sponsors!!
good job Jason.....and " Yeah....your gonna get Wet ! "
Tommyknockers chase you outta your hole? What's the matter, you scared boy?!
Soooooo Wet
ready to go!
Jimmy John keeping an eye on your competitors, pretty nice setup he has.
"So c'mon, let's go!"
Thanks!
Fantastic film!
Best short course in hard rock I’ve ever seen. Thank you sir!
Really enjoy videos like this, not many channels show the inner workings! Keep up the great work!
You should buy a gazebo/canopy for the back of your truck
you do a really good job of explaining what the termanology and all aspects of mining happen...very well done Jason.
I just wanted to thank you for teaching me so much. I don’t know why but this stuff is fascinating to me from start to finish. I would come work for free just to absorb the knowledge you have! Thank you, I love all of your videos!
The end-to-end process is extremely informative.
Thank you ever so much Jason for teaching the general public. Please stay safe and healthy and take care of yourself and your family. ☺☺☺😇😇😇
Thanks Jason, it's really cool to see the whole process.
I love how informative and thorough all the videos are. Even better when you are waking up and have a cup off coffee in hand.
Hi Jason,
You always upload great video’s but this one was really in the excellent category.

Really good work and thank you for your hard work in the rain.

Thank you so much for this video, I’m new to hard rock gold, I’m learning so much from you Jason

Excellent video, I would love to come work with you to gain some of your
Knowledge! Thank you!
That truck with a whole plant on it is so cool! That dry crusher is really munching down that ore like me with pretzels lol.
I love days like that....and a wee bit of gold too
I always enjoy listening to somebody who really knows their craft. Whether it is a master electrician, carpenter, mason, plumber, computer scientist or in this case a miner. Their vocabulary alone is indicative of their thorough understanding of the subject matter. Thumbs up!
Hes a degree holder in geology
Watching you use buckets has given me an appreciation for conveyor belts.

So glad I found your channel. Best mining videos I have seen. Thank You.
Great vid Jas ,you go hard son! Rain don’t even stop you, thank you from Australia 🇦🇺

Great video. I like how you explain terminology. That is an ideal one man prospecting setup.
I can't see a better day than a rainy day to do this work on.
Im glad i found this channel! I grew up around mt Baker. Great info, thanks
Something that just peeked my curiosity when I was hooking up shredder to my Kubota compact tractor. You could probably work up a model of the mobile hammer mill and sluice adapted for PTO off of a small tractor. Hands down the best videos when it comes to the whole mining process. Well done.
You'd blow the mind of a humble miner from 1850 with a contraption like this. wow.
Love the truck set up... Howdy from the Gold Hill Mining District, Jackson County/ State of Jefferson XX 🍛 ⛏⚒⛏
so it's mainly a crushing and grinding unit to get powder around 1mm. Then gold trap and gold pan to recover the gold. It's for small scale capacity, exactly suitable for the small miners or whom pay interest in gold rush.
I REALLY like watching the videos with you mining by yourself from the truck, gives me hope I can be a miner one day with a similar setup.
Great video, I really appreciate the way you explain some of the terminology, it makes it much easier to understand the layout and what was being done, it must have been scary at times. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞
I have learned a lot but so much more to learn.... thanks for your knowledge
You are a great technical lecturer.
very nice Jason, awesome portable!
I'm putting together a full station in a top of a truck where I can do what you just did, but I'll be recycling the water. I like your video.
Great unit can you weld hard facing on hammers
Watched this video several months ago and here I am again, it's really cool. Makes me want to get into gold mining, or at least marketing the hardware for gold mining.
25:26 those trees in the background experienced a mudslide in their past
that slope seems to be in motion keep an eye on that
Well done Jason. Good video. I'll organise a whip round to get you a decent torch...
I enjoyed that, thanks for laying it out so plainly.
Thanks Jason love the set up. Pls do more of these exploration vids. Absolutely brilliant
Yep, the old MSHA mining safety and first aid classes. One full week on most of the classes. I remember them well.
I have a question. If you ran the rock thru a crusher ( like this) and a second crusher ( of a much finer size) for a smaller size would that be better?🤔
Really cool underground mine, thank you for the tour! Time to build some ore cars?
Whenever I'm crushing buckets of ore I always think about your fancy conveyor belt system.
Me too
Excellent video. Very informative , interesting, intelligent. Thank you. Really enjoyed it.
Awesome video! Looking forward to seeing more from this mine. Seems like a cool place.
Nice video. Would have liked to see more detail of the hammer mill. Surprised it was so quiet.
Why not run the cons right through AR ? Wouldnt have silver to deal with after the button. really nice though.I want to go to Idaho and try your system there. Thanks for the Video.
.
Romeo's and lime green socks, man. 😂😅😂😂 love it
Do you think if you burned the rock ina hot fire then poured water on them it would crush better and do less damage to the equipment?
Jason did you say that Stringer should put out about 0z and a half to the cubic yard ?
Really interesting!! And clearly shows how dangerous old mines are !! Thanks !
Thanks for explaining it to me as much of these videos I watch
I always have questions
You answered some of them
Great educational video.
That's a pretty good stope just looking at the colors. Wonder how the vein looks deeper down. Guess I'm ready, I've got the same cast iron fajita pan!
That’s an awesome setup. Great job on the smelt to man.
Nice presentation Jason. Really shows your experience in the subject of gold mining. Well equipped also. Very good operation, both at the shop and at the mine. Stay healthy and safe.
Hi sir. How do you separate gold from other metal? what do you add there? Thank you.
Nice vid Jason! Get those JUICY sections, boom🙌
Thank you so much jason,i hv learned all of you mining video .hv a nice day bro.
K I'm chatting to much here ,,, but I would love to see you get that truck up there and how you set up the truck before you left..love this stuff Jason thank you
WOW @ 36:40! Good Job
Thanks mate. Love your descriptions and insight. Really interesting to watch. Thanks so much for your vids.
How 🤔 much does a set up like that on the back of the truck cost ?
Dude - I dont usually comment on your vids, but really enjoy them.... This one is awesome... I love the rain, and the just getting out there and doing it. Chur from New Zealand.

i think he means like surface mining or strip mining
Open pit mine?
Ask Jeff Williams is good channel and Ben Hurd they explain stuff like Jason mix them all up and you have the total package!!
As usual Jason, you are the man. Thank you for the knowledge.
Jason I like that set up what does it cost truck and gear New and what could you set it up for being used.?
how many pans? as you didnt have anywhere close to 10g at 31:57 seems like you added more then shown. I really enjoyed the trip though your mine very interesting.
I was thinking the same thing. Like woah that turned from some dust to a big nugget all of a sudden...
The 10g was before the cupelling
Love your video’s Jason. Looks like you have some work ahead scaling, rock bolting and screening, can’t wait to see that video. You obviously enjoy what you do and thanks for sharing with us.
Wow, Jason, that is a pretty awesome rig and job !! Been in contact with you around 3 years ago from norway, really impressed !!
Seems like it would be a pretty cool job working in a mine
Thanks for the vid. Its good for us to compare our geology and experiences with yours. (dry australia.. more like arizona). thanks again
That was awesome video. I totally liked the set up from the jaw crusher to hammer mill then sluice box in the back of a flatbed truck.

I'm like that truck mill good set up
What’s the best way to test an old Colorado ocean bed for gold?
i would want to put a pillar or two holding the ceiling up? just for piece of mind.
In your sluice does your riffles fill up and blow out the gold the looks full of mud. Wondering if the gold cube would work or he is making a centrifugal gold recovery machine.
Heres a warrior friend of mine as battled despite a rainy day.
Found you from Brents channell . You rock brother.
was a second set of flux added to the last part of the process?
That was really really neat 👌 I've never seen the process before.I like watching these kinds of videos very good insight .I wish I could do that some day.Thank you for showing me.
Awesome Jason....Your equipment is among the best for quick mining
