I have an x270 and an m1 air, I can definitely tell you that while the m1 air has a very satisfying keyboard...the x270 is miles ahead. So I totally don't get the hate for the chiclet keyboard either.
The x series ultrabooks of this specific generation of thinkpads (,x230, 40,50,60,70,80) have one of the BEST keyboards on a laptop, first place goes to the T series however. I tried the t470 keyboard and its so much better cause it feels less crammed, and there is more space for your palms to rest.
