    Another great review! Thank you, Skipper. I surfed my buddy's 5'6" and it was so much fun in waist high waves but I will probably go with the 5'9".

    The board looks fun. I was gonna get 6'0 to mix up my quiver. After watching your review, I'm tempted to go with 5'9"! Thank you, Skip. Btw, your surfing got better!

    Love to see you surf! Have you looked at the thunderbolt mid6? I've seen videos of people ripping on them, but not many reviews

      Hey Nadaripp! Yes, I actually ordered then I was told the board will arrive some time next year. I cancelled it and went with the Big Baron. One of my followers from NJ has Mid6 in size 7'0" and he loves it. I may be able to link up with him when we get the waves back and test it. Cheers!

    Nice review Yury. It's definitely a fun looking board. I'd imagine it be a fun one to take out in bigger clean waves with a nice open face. Not exactly a board for LI haha. Love the idea of a pintail twin though.

    Hi Skipper! Thoroughly enjoy your reviews. Always really well explained and loved the approach on surfing crappy, small waves. Most of us don't get a chance to surf Trestles in ideal conditions. Keep up the good work!

    Another great review! Have you thought about reviewing a real groveler such as the Firewire Twice Baked or Lost Bean Bag?

    • @SkipperSurfReview
      @SkipperSurfReview  2 года назад

      Thank you, Richard. I'm actually interested to try Twice Baked. I saw someone on it a few weeks ago, ripping small dreamers out there. I would get one in size 5'5".. I was trying to find it on the second hand market but I feel like this type of boards people keep for a while LOL. I also want to try Lost Hydra.

      The bean bag is one of my favorite boards. It’s like a mini Funboard. I love taking it into 6 foot surf and it works amazing but mostly on a flatter wave. I haven’t tried the twice baked but since it’s a little pointy it could take punchier smaller surf.

    Hi skipper, great content as always!! Do you think this board as 6.0 could replace a proper mid in terms of wave catching? Im thinking on this board for travelling to go along a shortboard. Mostly point breaks max 6ft. Or better SSB 6.8 even though not as easy for travelling? Im 170lb intermediate living inland surfing lost rnf96 33l and D2 31l mainly beach breaks. Thanks boss!!!

    Thanks for the great reviews. I cant decide between 6'4 Sunday or 6'6 big baron. I surf very similar to you. What are your thoughts? Which would you prefer?

    • @SkipperSurfReview
      @SkipperSurfReview  Год назад +1

      Thanks for watching, Ryan. Sorry for the late response. I would go for 6'6" Big Baron. It's less buoyant, PU, more versatile, especially on windy days. Sunday may feel slightly easier to surf if you are more on a beginner level but if you already good with the twin fins and not having issues setting the line/pop up/catching waves, the Big Baron will work great for you. Hope this helps!

    Hey Skipper. Are you still using Soloshot 3 65x for your vids? I'm toying with buying one to help me (and my wife/kids) improve our surfing

    • @SkipperSurfReview
      @SkipperSurfReview  2 года назад +1

      Hey! Yes, I'm still using both Soloshots Optic 25 & 65. So far so good. You can find one on FB market really cheap these days. If you end up getting one, then make sure the seller provides the credentials to his Soloshot account. That way you can change the original email address to your personal one. You will need to get these credentials to pair new tag in case you lose one or it dies. Let me know if you have any questions🤙🏽

    How would you compare this smaller Sunday to the Hydrodynamica Mini Simmons?

    • @SkipperSurfReview
      @SkipperSurfReview  2 года назад +2

      Can't really compare.. to be honest, it's like apples and oranges. Mini Simmons will provide a planing hull experience basically glide over anything very fast even if it's completely flat. It also catches waves much easier. This is something that I experienced and I can't compare it to anything else out there that would work the same in small waves. On the other hand, Sunday will be more maneuverable and provide great performance, hold through the turns and stuff like that while Mini Simmons will feel a bit skatey and some turns you may need to nurse especially if it's over 3ft. Hope this helps! Cheers!

    What is the difference of the ride between the Sunday and the Seaside? Thank you!

    • @SkipperSurfReview
      @SkipperSurfReview  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching Big Joe. I would say the wave range and maneuverability. The Sunday will cover up more conditions from knee up to head high very easy and will be fun to ride and draw different lines for round turns especially with 2+1 setup or big keels + trailer. It's more versatile though. The Seaside is picky with conditions, it's not a full groveler, it needs clean/semi clean waves, more open face 2-4 ft, when it gets steeper, the tail loses traction, doesn't hold it well through the turns. Also, making steeper drops becomes challenging. However it pivots slightly quicker. If I had to choose between two, I would go with Sunday. Hope this helps! Cheers!

    I'm not a fan of the 2+1 set up on a board that small. Too much fin in the water. The midlength version of the Sunday makes more sense.

    • @SkipperSurfReview
      @SkipperSurfReview  2 года назад +1

      Hey Diamons! I totally agree. The mid-length works much better with the single fin or 2+1 set up. There is a connector for a single fin box that you can insert Futures or FCS2 fin and make it as a truster.
