i think what he said really needs to hit the owners of real racing teams right where it hurts: "some of the racers on there are better than racers in real life, they just haven't had the opportunity to show that" being on iRacing and seeing the competition in there and even looking at how some of the drivers run in comparison to real life drivers is insane. if only teams irl would give some of these sim racers a chance, i feel like the racing world would instantly become more popular and successful due to more entertaining racing, and much better racing.
I agree 100%, I also think both iRacing and real racing would grow in popularity because it would be more attainable. I feel a lot of racing is losing popularity because it is growing out of its grass roots feel. People don't feel connected to the drivers. They feel even if they tried their hardest, if their name isn't Waltrip, Elliot, Andretti, or Earnhardt they wont ever get their shot. But if racing, of all forms, look for drivers in iRacing then the average person has a shot at making it if they put in the time and effort to get good on the sim.
Yeah on the road side we have a real Le Mans winner in Nicki Thiim, who was racing the Mazdas on iRacing the week before he raced in this year's real Le Mans with Aston Martin. Awesome stuff to be racing with guys like that.
Difference being that on iRacing you have next to nothing to lose, on the Superspeedway you can lose millions, or your life. When you have a REAL car running inches from your door and 190 mph not many can handle that kind of pressure.
4theloveofDub i think that's a really good point... i mean you always hear NASCAR drivers talking about how they started racing when they were like 6, i think that puts off allot of people even like me who are around 16 and while having a passion for racing, when you hear guys like Dale Jr. talk about how he's been racing since he was 5 or 6, it makes you feel like its way too late and you'll have no chance so there's not really a reason to try. but if real teams were to start looking at guys online i think that would definitely not only help the sport grow with more and better drivers but would also help the popularity of the sport because people would realize they could have an actual shot.
We went elementary school with this guy. It's amazing to see how far he's come. I didn't know him too well but I knew he was the kid in my class who loved to race.
and yet it still has flaws. penalty system is a joke, bad drivers rarely get suspended/banned and are mostly protected, tire models are a joke. yes iti s the best sim im not denying that, but its not flawless at all, and for the price that is is it should be. tracks are overpriced, same for cars.
I use Voice Attack verbal software combined with Digital Race Engineer software and it helps A LOT with pit stops, pit strategy and other aspects of sim racing when using VR and even without it. You should check it out.
It's just a matter of numbers. There are many more people racing in a virtual environment than in real life. So on average even if the level of quality is greater in real life, the raw number of above - average quality divers its going to be vastly superior amongst the virtual racers. In real life the the top drivers have had to go through the filter of MONEY, which is more important than quality, while in sim racing the most important filter is QUALITY if you want to get to the top of the rankings.
I hope when I get into bigger sprints that i can be like kyle 600 micros are fun and all but my overall goal is to be in victory lane at Knoxville it'd be awsome knowing how many legends have been in the same spot your at and how much work you've put into a car just like them
I want to do this really bad because I'm 64 and been part of racing for most of my life. I've raced motor cycles because I could never afford a real sprint car. But my main problem is I cant pick up the phone and talk to anyone about Iracing. What all I need the cost to do it.
Terry Roberson a decent computer for atleast $500 and up. A wheel and pedals will run atleast $100 and a membership on iracing. I’d say to get start will cost $600 or $700
:). Not trolling though. Life is all about money. He doesn't give two fucks about iRacing and obviously he is not going to admit that, would look bad on himself, his sponsors and his team. That's just my opinion though and I respect yours. iRacing is going to do whatever it can to get people to come race.
Weird how he doesn't care about iRacing when he goes on there and has been racing on there since 2009. Trust me, I have been in a practice session with him.
Seeing that Kyle Larson has struggle finishing top 10 makes me optimistic about my driving
Sam Hensley
That also says something about sim racers
Kyle Larson ending his own career brought me here.
Is his career r3ally done tho ..?i don't wish that on him..even tho im black
Me to
Thankful blessed I mean his come back will be like Ricky Bobby
Well he's back, and he's 2nd in NASCAR Cup points
well...
I love how he respects sim racers
yea, i love when racers respect the skills of another type of racer, especially if the other type of racing is viewed as lesser.
Agreed I love all forms of motor sports, they are all difficult in their own ways. To be the best at any of them deserves respect from the community.

he was being paid for this of course he is going to "suck up" to the gamers

I painted that Sprint Car for him at the 1:17 mark!! It’s cool to see it in a video.
keep pumping the dirt content! Love it!

iRacing is the King of simulation racing video games. -iAnthuny

He is now also the king of saying the n word
@@chrisppx agree, RIP.
I was at the lawernceburg race. It was CRAZY
VR is the future of sim racing guys. If you have not tried it you are missing out. Dirt and Oculus Rift are a match made in heaven.
Fred Smith how about fumbling around trying to setup a pitstop
I race the IMSA series which includes pitstops. It really is not an issue in VR. I use a combo of the mouse and a button box.
I use Voice Attack verbal software combined with Digital Race Engineer software and it helps A LOT with pit stops, pit strategy and other aspects of sim racing when using VR and even without it. You should check it out.
id love to know if the irl sprint car is as hard to drive under pace laps as the iracing car, hella rocky and like its on skis

Real racers find a way. Even without money, they are good enough to get it. I.E. every real racer ever....

@@shanenicewonger7646 Thanks for the information
I wish Nashville had a dirt track! Please, I'll come every week and bring friends. I promise!
this got me optimistic for rallycross
Who is looking on all videos about larson for his n word slur
Iracing should add indoor tracks like Allen town and Atlantic city
Well back to 410s
1:13 "Kyle Larson takes the lead from like lap 23"
Most Sprint Car races are 30-150 laps. It's pretty special to lead around that time.
Now we got to get mods in the dirt
He my fav driver
I love dirt on iracing, though kind of suck at it LOL
Hey can you hear me?
Hey Ni-
You're talking to everyone, Kyle.
Did he just say that?
Little did he know while filming this😬🤣
Hero
the anti kyle busch
What does this have to do with Kyle Busch?
Looks like his career is over now
Hate
lol common guys in all reality he's paid to say this.
Its obvious you do not know larson or even meet him. But nice #troll try.

lol, there's literally 100's of known real professional drivers who race on iRacing.
