GIRL! The reason you felt fine/not hungry/not needing snacks one week and then starving the next/putting a few pounds on is because of your cycle! Hormones control everything, and we have peaks and dips throughout our cycles. It’s totally normal even though it’s frustrating. You’re doing so good!!!

Also the stress and dare I say trauma she faced during lipstick gate has GOT to be a major contributor, at least IMHO. She started having issues around that time which makes sense. I dont recall her age but if shes in perimenopause which can start at 30 this can cause many of the issues shes been dealing with. The stress shes gone thru would cause cortisol surges which is SO bad for our bodies, its very under estimated. I hope shell look into this if she hasnt & just see if these are part of whats going on bc shes trying so hard & deserves so much good! I think it will come in time.

I personally like the vulnerability in Jaclyns journey. Every person on this planet is struggling with something… so it’s relatable. Most influencers always act like their life is perfect and in turn people want to be just like them and have their lives. That isn’t real! Keep doing you, keep putting out bomb product, and you have your entire life to make positive health choices!

The best thing you can do is to not handle your emotions with food. “I had a shit day so I’m going to eat whatever I want.” “I had an amazing day so I’m going to treat myself to pizza and ice cream!” “I worked out so I deserve this cookie”. That’s when you build a bad relationship with food. Food shouldn’t be a reward or a punishment. We literally need it to survive. If you’re hungry, eat!! You got this girl! We’ve all fallen into these ruts.

    • @cynthiaowens92
      @cynthiaowens92 2 года назад

I disagree that food shouldn’t be a reward. Yes, creating habits surrounding food is not the best but I think it’s totally normal to have food as a reward. Not everyday obviously but once a month, or even once a week, it’s totally okay to have some cheesecake to treat yourself or whatever.

That was one of the things that I mentioned to her from chapter one of this series, she need an intervention team that includes a life coach, a trainer, a nutritionist and above all a psychologist all working in unison to guide her on this journey. because alone is too difficult if not impossible... Jaclyn, it’s perfectly okay to PIVOT while you’re on this journey. Eat what you want, practice portion control and find exercise you look forward to. Have fun trying new stuff until you find it. There isn’t one way to lose weight. Don’t forget that this was supposed to be a fun journey where you find yourself. Walk around your neighborhood at your own pace daily to clear you mind. Try yoga. Take a self defense class. Get Hello fresh - the food is good and portion sized and they’ll sponsor you. Make this journey FUN. I hate seeing go through your depression and anxiety but it does make me feel like I’m not alone. Thanks for being open. 💕

It makes me sad seeing you being so hard on yourself. You are allowed to eat when you are hungry. You are allowed to have some treats even if you gained weight or skipped your training session. You can still lose weight while having a balance eating nutritious food and junkfood. No food should be off limits and trigger negative feelings if it's not labeled as clean food. It's all about finding a balance. Your stress and anxiety is also felt by your body and often underestimated in the progress of a weight loss journey. As you said, put your mental health first and your body will follow through. Love yourself

As someone recovering from anorexia nervosa, healthy is giving your body what it needs and eating a balance of foods that you enjoy from every food group. Hey Jacyln, my doctor once told me that when we’re stressed our body goes in panic mode where we get hungrier because we think we are in danger, it’s normal to feel stress once or twice a day but we’re not equipped to be in a constant state of stress (I’m a teacher so I understand what being stressed all the time feels like lol) Im probably explaining this wrong but I know when cortisol levels are high weight loss does get harder, it’s something I’ve been trying to work on too. I’d suggest going to a homeopathic doctor that can give you some vitamins that help lower stress and give you natural ways to help you in your journey. Best of luck to you!!! You’ve been a huge inspiration to me on this journey and have been showing your real struggles which I wish influencers did more of. I’m proud of you and I KNOW you will Reach your goals. *What is the Gospel?*
The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
      Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
      Romans 10:9
9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
      JESUS CHRIST can come anytime!
Just Believe ❤️ Love you and GOD BLESS

When you started talking about how awful it feels to look around at everything you’ve worked so hard for, everything you are so blessed with, yet unable to feel good and instead feeling anxious and depressed; feeling lack and emptiness instead of fullness, have you ever considered that maybe your purpose is no longer aligned? I discovered you in 2014, 7 years ago and had my own successful wedding makeup career from watching YOU. You have a gift and a purpose for being alive. I think for a long time it was helping people feel beautiful, showing us how to be creative, being a teacher but maybe now its changing. If I am being honest it seems like you’re on the brink of a next level spiritual awakening. Its always darkest before the dawn Jaclyn. Hang in there.

I wanna comment something that truly helped me SO much with my anxiety: I used to get so frustrated because my anxiety held me back. Why did I have to be so broken? Then I reframed the way I saw myself. If I told you the story of how I “earned” my anxiety, you’d think “Well of course she is anxious, she’s been through it.” So why couldn’t I extend that same kindness to myself? I earned this anxiety and I don’t need to be fixed. I take my time, I don’t rush myself through anxious episodes even though I wish they were over. I deal with those feelings right then and there and show myself kindness and grace. You aren’t a failure because you have anxiousness, you are a product of a collection of experiences. My heart goes out to you…. Be kinder to yourself, doll, because you’re pretty damn amazing just the way you are.

YOU ASKED: "How come when you're stressed out and going through things it is so easy to make the worst food decisions?" You are at your most vulnerable with your body pushing against its food addiction (emotional eater, binge eater). It's going to throw a FIT whenever it wants what it wants and you are training it to not get its "fix." Your body is trained to get its happy hormones from food. First step in recovery is to replace how you get your happy hormones and to maybe also learn a bit more about your hormones in general. And above all else KNOW THAT IT IS NOT GOING TO BE EASY WHILE YOUR BODY/MIND TRANSITIONS OUT OF THIS STATE. You can't shortcut your way through your body's withdrawals. Just don't beat yourself up with that negative selftalk! ♥

I’ve been going through a fitness journey myself and it’s SO HARD. The reason we crave comfort foods (carbs, cheeses, things that help comfort you in that moment) is because it gives you a little endorphin rush in the minute. However it’s so deceitful because it’s using the stock of chemicals you already have, it’s not giving you nutrients for healthy new ones and ends up depleting your stock. The foods to eat during this time that will actually help long term are what I like to call “happy foods” (you can Google this term and find a huge list of foods that are healthy for your hormones and chemicals), some of these are salmon, deep greens, oats, etc. you’ve got this!!! It’s so so hard but you’re strong and it’s been wonderful seeing you get healthy. You’ve been inspiring me too!!

You know what? DO NOT ignore the hate. Acknowledge it. And realize that people like that are only reflecting what’s happening inside them. When you truly realize this, you won’t be as bothered, and not just on social media.
Love you and proud of you ❤️

When you said “I just want my brain to be normal”. The amount of times I’ve said that to myself😔 makes me feel not so alone. Thanks for being so open❤️

I hate that people give you such a hard time! You’re one of the few “influencers/celebrities” that are actually humble, kind and deserve all the success you have! You definitely don’t deserve the constant scrutiny and hate that gets thrown your way! I’m always and forever rooting for you, girl! 😘

I love how open you are about your anxiety. I recently had to up my Zoloft dosage and had that recurring thought “I just want my brain to be normal!” You’ve got this! You’ve made huge strides in how you fuel your body and you’ve lost weight. I’m proud of you for taking care of yourself in ALL aspects of life!

One thing I have learned is that your "set backs" are always setups for something BETTER. Yes, your lipsticks didn't work out but I feel that because of that "set back" it has launched you into something so much better. Keep putting one foot in front of the other! Millions of people are rooting for you. xoxo

Your journey has been the most inspiring thing to see as someone who is also trying to lose weight. Most youtubers don’t share the lows, the slip-ups, the cheat meals and the urges to cheat. You’re such a real, genuine human and you don’t gloss over your struggles for the camera or pretend to be perfect. I hope you can keep going, you have no idea how much you inspire me. ❤️

Jaclyn I can so fucking relate to constantly obsessing and worrying, and eating poorly when I am upset. Honestly it’s so refreshing to see that I am not the only one who goes through this kind of stuff, so thanks for being so honest.
