As an avid amateur photographer and biker of 47 yo., your bike travel and photos are fantastic. I love the bright vivid pictures. Beautiful job and beautiful journey. . God bless you two and continue on your safe travel.
+Sydney Dog Wow, thank you! I will prepare another video of the second year cycling around the world, and this time I will upload it on 4K (if my Chinese network allows me).
Please wait for meeeee....!!! I envy you guys! Keep up the good work, enjoy life and create happy moments everyday...that's the only thing that really counts!
Hi Pablo, These are some absolutely stunning pictures. I leave in less than a month for my round the world bike trip, and this inspiration to get me even more fired up!
Hello @Aejas Ahmed, there is no one rule for all borders. It depends on each country and on your own passport. I just do my research before arriving to that country, and depending on the result of it i just go to the border and get the stamp, I do a visa on arrival on the border, I go to an embassy in some neighbouring country to apply for the visa or I do any due process.
Pablo Mandado Thank you very much for your explanation can you get down little brief, all I wanted to know is what kind of visa to ask in a particular embassy and for how long because we don't know exactly how many days it will take to cross a particular country, so what type of visa, if you can help me it will be appreciated
It depends on the country you want to go, normally you will apply for a tourist visa. Each country is different, and in different embassies it can change the conditions for the same type of visa, so you need to do your research for the specific country you want to go to.
The Crazy Travel hey, I'm going to be circumnavigating next February, how are you maintaining a 3$/day budget? Please explain because I have very little money (around 3grand) and I want to make it last for a few years while touring.
great pictures! wow! what camera you used? This well done slideshow of pictures makes me think that there is not really need for drones or complex videos. The quality of these pictures is of a greater quality! Congrats!
ive been all over Europe and back ........but now I have adopted a dog with a couple of issues and it would take a whole page to explain how travelling with a dog and his doggie trailer opens up a whole new scenario and, more importantly, a whole new survival scientific can of worms. To be short just remember 1. pavements are your friend and 2. police aren't until proven otherwise . They think chasing pensioners with a dog is more important than chasing terrorists or criminals.. (easy meat) cops and pavements are the key points of a whole new scientific can of worms pulling doggie trailers. if your dog just stayed in the trailer things might be easier not counting the heavy weight, but hes athletic so good for him. It seems that there are rules for the gander and a whole other set of rules for us geese. double standards! with 30 cars up your arse and the gold bus in Devon, no pavements, and I was wondering if the well mannered motorists would finally lose it and give us the finger.........
Amazing tour, im from the Netherlands, currently in Turkey doing something similar. How did you make the nice map with all the days in the start of the video?
I will be doing something like this from portugal to amsterdam (through the coast), then to veneza, then around italy and back to portugal from the other side of france / spain.. over 11.000km, with little or no money, It will be a hell of an adventure
easy ,but i think they meant 3 euro each ,i was spending 5 euro a day cycling 6 weeks covering 4000 km paris to porto and back to irun ,i bought bread ,cheese, meat ,crisps and noodles /pasta ,wild camped and once a week stopped at a hostel to have a hot shower and wash cloths etc
Thank you. ;) I have a Nikon D7100 and a few lenses, you can find more pictures in the blog, Flickr and 500px. thecrazytravel.com/ www.flickr.com/photos/cataplines/ 500px.com/thecrazytravel
? Paldies, Māris, Elvis! Jauku jums abiem dienu .
Someone knows how to use their camera (something often relegated to a secondary consideration on trips like this)! Excellent photos that tell the story - your adventure deserves no less. Slainte!!
Awesome! We just started our cycling trip in Bangkok and are heading towards India (then to Europe through Pakistan and Iran after staying in India for a while probably!) Where are you guys now? Happy Travels :)
+Gonzalo Cisbani A few of the photos are from my old Nikon D5100, but most of them from my Nikon D7100. I sold the Nikon D5100 in Spain (I was carrying both lol). Lens wise, there are some photos in the beginning from a Sigma 17-70, but I sold it too. Most photos are from a Nikon 35mm 1.8G. I use a UWA Tokina 11-16 for a few landscapes and star photography, and a longer lens Nikon 85mm 1.8G for some portraits.
How did you stay in Europe for 11 months without running into visa trouble when you left? I'm trying to do a similar thing, but it looks like i can only stay 90 days without getting an extension... did you get an extension? How do you do this?
What the heck is this? A teaser for a series of the videos that show how you managed each day? It's going on three years, no more videos. I was like wow, finally someone doing a bike tour right, and then only pictures 😔
+titoune1469 Cheers! It is a touring bicycle, a Thron Nomad. You can take a look to our gear here: en.thecrazytravel.com/gear/ And we are still on the road! We are in China now. :)
Thank you Mouath, as long as you cook yourself you can eat decently. But not that much of a variety. I eat lots of seasonal fruits and vegetables, bread, eggs, rice and pasta. Dairy products like cheese and milk, and cereals, jam or cheap cookies. I am not vegetarian -my girlfriend is-, but I don't eat too much meat lately to avoid the higher expense. In countries where street food is very cheap I indulge myself to eat more meat.
thank you Pablo, you really inspired me... i think it will be awesome if you vlog you trips like funforlouis do in his channel... i think you have amazing and interesting stories and adventures to tell. cheers from Saudi Arabia :) be safe bro.
Mouath Al Showaiman Cheers, I have been more focused on writing and photography. But a few days ago I decided to get serious about filming and I just got a GoPro, so keep tuned. ;-)
Hi, just wondering about the seat you use on the bike. I noticed that it's a leather seat, I used a soft seat last summer when I did a trip from Ireland to Budapest and found it almost unbearable, do you recommend leather seats for long distance? I use a leather seat on a single speed bike but only use it for short city cycles, have never tried it for long distance.
Michael Gibbons Yeah, the seat it is very nice. It is a classic Brooks saddle, there are other manufacturers out there with similar solutions as well. I totally recommend it. ;-)
food can you buy for three euro's? thats like $3.25 us. not much in the form of good food here for that. really i do want to now. im looking to do that here in the US. for $3.25 a day, i really dont see it. maybe ramen noodles, spam and string beans(less then half a pound). all that salt ooff'a! tell me how!
Danny Panetta We eat very cheap food: pasta, rice, seasonal fruits and vegetables, cheese, bread, eggs... You can eat all day long on a 3€ budget eating those things in Europe. You can buy a kilo of pasta for 30 cents in Western Europe in cheap supermarkets, and in the South of Europe vegetables are very cheap. I rarely bought anything that cost more than 3€/kilo. Besides, in Western Europe or US you can travel without spending any money on food, you can dumpster dive or just ask for food they are about to throw away in every city. The Eastern you go, the most expensive it gets eating. Supermarkets are not that cheap anymore so the little bit you save up on vegetables from the sellers on the side of the road you lose it in the rest. But street food gets much cheaper so it kind of compensate.
i guess it is time to go to the market and make a generic shopping list! LOL! i guess im a bit busy to see outside of the atlas and work. notation has bin made!!! thanks a bunch!
Pasta, bread, rice, eggs, milk, seasonal fruits and vegetables… Often we get invited for a meal, or for some free veggies or fruits. We pick up wild fruits occasionally as well, and dumpster diving was an option in Western countries where half of the food production end up in the bin.
Yes, I forgot you travel in countries where 3 euros is more than where I live... And I imagine it's easier to get invited as a couple than as a grown up man alone :-) I saw one of your videos some time ago and it got stuck in my head. Cheers! Regardless of where we travel, in Europe we were spending a similar amount than now in Asia. Actually I find more expensive to shop in China than in Europe (street food is obviously cheaper in China).
Congratulations. Epic journey. I did four months in the UK at 10 pounds sterling (ca 13,5 euros) per day. Tough gig, guys. #respect

Which is the track and good job guysss respect 👍🙏
Awesome. Just researching visas now. Can you just rock up at the border and get a transit visa?
Greg Waugh Depends on the country. In this part of the trip, in Europe, yes. But it would depend on your nationality too.
i want to know more about the 3 euro per day thing
In the blog you have everything about it: en.thecrazytravel.com/numbers-around-the-world-bicycle/
