I'd love to see how its holding up. I know pigs can beat things up pretty quickly.
I was thinking the same thing. I would have put in corner studs and stronger hinges to start with just because pigs tear up everything.

How has this held up as they got larger? I built one that was similar but used a barrel for the hopper, the one problem I had however is once they got bigger they decided it would be fun to kick the feed/pull the feed out with there snouts and make a big pile in front of it. If you have not had a similar problem at all with yours I will probably re-build one off of your dimensions, my feeding area may have been to large or something I know I eventually sorta fixed it but I still don't like it how it is and want to re-do it before I get some more feeder pigs again.
Hey Repairman Jared it held up well. These 2 didn't pull any feed out cause I believe it would have been hard for them cause they physically had to hold the lid with their heads to even get to the feed. And the divider in the middle is mainly to give them separation between each other so they wouldn't fight over the feed.
What is the measurement of the top sides? You gave the dimensions for all sides but that one.
good job on the feeder, been wanting to build one. got a question..... as they got bigger did they just eat all the time? I know when I feed now they eat till its gone. thanks again for the great video
Hey zibbman if you give them continuous feed they'll only eat till their full but they do eat quite a bit these 2 went through 1 ton of feed in 5 months.
What size screws did you use?
I'll have to keep this in mind when we finally get piglets 🐖 🐖 🐖
It was a pretty easy build and you'll definitely need one, Either you build or buy a commercial one. If not you'll be feeding your pigs at least 2 times a day and that's if there not wasting it😒 Thanks for the visit Krystal
Portugee Prepper Oh yes. Building is far better than buying without a doubt. And other than them wasting it... Mother Nature will waste it for them too!
How many pounds of feed does your feeder hold?
