Great video! For the last orangey tablecloth, i think like a cover up that could go over a lot of things could be great. Something like the helen’s closet moss jacket or seamwork quince day robe? Then you could try and place that big central section on the back and use the orangey bits on the selvedge down the front? Thanks for all of the inspo 😊glad you are feeling better :)
Your fabrics are all so gorgeous. I can't wait to see you make them all up into beautiful outfits. I love all the pretty colors, so summery. Thanks for sharing.
I genuinely can't tell if Lady McElroy Nightlife Tokyo and Lady McElroy China Town are the same print, but I have the China Town and I made a crisp button-up in lawn that I'm wearing right now. It is SUCH a gorgeous fabric, it just glows. It's a real outfit maker; I can't wait to see what dress you decide to make with it. Oh! And inspired by your wardrobe intentionality I made a moodboard in photoshop with swatches of all the fabrics I have either sewn up into shirts recently or have plans for this summer, so when I'm looking for co-ordinating trouser and short fabric I have an easy reference.
Wow Sam, where to start with all these amazing plans!! so much gorgeous colour too. really interested to see how your trousers work out as I think I need to branch out from my safe Pomonas 😅 also am looking forward to seeing the Travertine made up, I'm going to try and make it by the end of the month. Also really want to make the Gia!!! just make that fab apple Naya, you can't go wrong with that pattern 🤩
Lots of fun plans there Sam, looking forward to seeing how you get on with them. That last table cloth you showed us could be a really simple kaftan if you make an opening for your head and then maybe some long ties. It's too nice to cut up x
I am in love with the summer/spring flower fabric...I would make capri's or wide leg trousers with it. It looked great next to your pink top. You didn't say what type of fabric (or I missed it), so maybe pants/capri's will not be possible. Your orange color tablecloth you showed towards the end...I use to have pants made out of a similiar color fabric. My fabric was seersucker and I loved them. I don't know if they'd work for trousers...Really enjoyed today...love your style and your fabric choices.
I don't know if it is something that you wear but I think the last tablecloth would make a beautiful kimono/duster to throw over a plain top and pants to dress it up.
I really enjoyed watching your creative juices at work! Beautiful colours in your fabrics too. I will look forward to seeing your pants as I’m definitely not a jeans person either. My go to pants are the Pomona & I would love a different style as well.
Oh my my, what a lot of gorgeous fabrics! This is why I love your channel, lots of lovely colours and patterns in fantastic combinations! Very inspiring ❤️
Oh, don’t call it procrastinating! I know it feels like that, but it’s part of the creative process. Any designer has to decide that same question; of all the garments and all the fabrics in the world, what am I going to make?
Love this blog, love how your clothes all go togeher so well. Very inspiring! I reckon that last table cloth would make a great long skirt. I've seen a blog somewhere that shows a table cloth that just had a hole cut in the middle and elastic sewin in. Job done! Would look amazing in your table cloth as i think it was square so it would look like a hankerchief style skirt. And you would see all the lovely pattern in it too as you won't be cutting and sewing much other than the waist hole.
I was thinking exactly the same. At least 90%, if not all, of the fabric you showed went perfectly with that pink naya. BTW Amelia Ellen made the most beautiful dress last year using an embroidered table cloth and plain fabric - it was used in squares and then sewn together. Prior to that she had done the most beautiful blouse. Worth a look on her channel.
Wonderful colours, fabrics and patterns! I bought the same Nerida Hansen bright flowery jersey and I made a simple three quarter length t shirt dress and it’s so great as the fabric is wonderful quality, it’s very forgiving because it’s so busy and is really fun! I also made pjs from the same fabric using the Stasia (dress) t shirt top and the pj bottoms from Megan Nielsen Reef set. I’ve made a couple of Megan Nielsen’s Rowan bodysuits too which are brilliant. Good job you’re a speedy sew-er and I’m really looking forward to seeing your makes 😁👌😉
Another inspiring vlog Sam, thank you.The embroidered tablecloth? I would look for some linen or cotton to make it go further, like side pieces or sleeves? You could also use the voile for lining where needed. Angela
My head is spinning! You raced through so many options there 😂. I think the tablecloth is another skirt option - you could make it in squares or rectangles without having to cut into the pattern panels. I can't wait to see how many of them you can make up. It's great that all the colours blend so well together.
Great vlog, good to see you back and excited to make your summer wardrobe. I’m just making my second pair of Saguaro pants, think I prefer it to the Safiya trousers. Looking forward to seeing you at the southern sewcial in a couple of weeks
I’ve made a few Tabitha T-shirt dress hack and used viscose jersey. Last couple I switched out the drawstring for elastic. I think that stain glass one would work and sure I got mine out of a small length maybe 1.5-2m
I can’t get the Unfettered Patterns (free) cardigan with pleated, short sleeves out of my head and I want to make it this summer. It may be an option to check out for a short sleeved cardigan if you’re interested. Style Arc recently released a bodysuit pattern with lots of options. If you purchase a pattern you can get the bodysuit pattern as a free ad-on pattern. You have lots of great ideas for summer.
I live in the north east of England we only have a small material part in John Lewis l do not like to shop on line you can not tell what the fabric is really like. Do you know of any material shops or one of your viewers might know I don’t mind travelling the short distance if needed thank you. It’s the first time of my watching your RUclips very enjoyable from Lynda. By the way the Sun is shining in the north today😊
Hi there, I’m new to your channel. Super video. I live in Kent and love Tenterden but haven’t been since before Covid. You have inspired me to go for a little trip! We are quite badly off for fabric shops in Kent. Any more suggestions. Love the pink top.
Megan Nielson Rowan tshirt and body suit is a lovely pattern! I’ve not tried the bodysuit test but have made a v neck and a mock neck (I think it’s called that?) and they fit beautifully. Obviously I needed to shorten the body before I started being vertically challenged! I’m, sad there isn’t a lower scoop neck on it or a square neck though.
Thank you. I'm not 100% sure which one is the pink jersey you mean. All the ones I've shared in this video are either viscose jersey or t-shirt weight.
You have great ideas and enthusiasm but some of us have only recently started sewing or come back to sewing and don’t know the names of every pattern. Please could you put a pic or line drawing for us that are less up to speed with every name or nuance of the patterns available
Hi Amanda. Lovely to have you here. I do weekly Sunday Sews vlogs where I go into lots of detail about the patterns and I've also added a list in the details. The plans one is an overview and it was just be too long if I did that but it compliments my other videos. I hope you enjoy watching my other ones. For example there is a whole very detailed on about the Seasons of East dress and tomorrow I will share details of the things I've made this week. Welcome to our little community x
The link to “more” on your video takes you to the video you linked, but I’m not able to read the rest of the “more” if you listed your patterns or anything else below it. Might just be on iPad.
Making drape-y wide leg pants in double gauze is a great idea. I never thought about that 👍

Oeh!!! What a neat collection of fabric for your summer collection! I think it's going to be amazing.
Thank you so much. I can't wait to when the rail comes out again and they are eall hanging on there

Thanks Ruth. Great idea.
You have a lot of fabric! Love it all!

Love watching your thought process, it’s so fun 🤩 Love your fabric choices, so many great fabrics
Thanks so much! 😊
I recently made a duster from a hand embroidered table cloth. It’s perfect!!!!
Oh that is great idea.
You are so good at picking fabrics that suit you! Love all your choices. Good luck with your summer sewing ❤
Oh my my, what a lot of gorgeous fabrics! This is why I love your channel, lots of lovely colours and patterns in fantastic combinations! Very inspiring ❤️
Thank you so much. Recording the vlog got me excited for sewing again after being poorly. x
I definitely get to that point that I love the fabric and can’t decide what to make. I spend more time procrastinating than actual making 😂🙆♀️
So true!

Great plans with beautiful fabric and the outfit you have on is gorgeous. Pink is definitely one of your colors
Thank you so much!
Great plans 😊
Thank you

See you soon. Xx interesting which ones you prefer. I'm looking forward to finding my preferred summer trouser.

Oh thanks Emma. I'll have to look to see.if I have that pattern.
It’s in the make it simple book but essential it’s a T-shirt cut off and self drafted skirt attached using the seam to create the channel
Try the pattern emporium magic dress it so lovely on.
Oh I am off to look at that. Thank you

I love your palette and especially love your pink naya. I need more plains and need to coordinate. What weight is the pink jersey?
Thank you. I'm not 100% sure which one is the pink jersey you mean. All the ones I've shared in this video are either viscose jersey or t-shirt weight.
Wowzers how many plans was that??? Is your skirt self drafted as I didn't hear a pattern mentioned.
Hi yes it is. I will share more in a vlog soon about it.

The last tablecloth looks like a caftan ?
Ooh thank you
