wAS ONLY 4YR OLD HERD Ernest Tubb in a park in Rockwood where I was born & raised it was the STEEL GUITAR I HEARD I told my MOM WHO PLAYED FLAT TOP GUITAR GET ME ONE OF THOSE NOW 73
My pap on my dad's side used to sing and play guitar to a lot of Hank Williams Sr's tunes and I remember him playing Hanks records all the time! He's been gone since 1985 but I can still see him playing this in his living room every time I think of him and this tune just brings me back like I'm right there again every time it's performed he had a 1937 Martin Archtop that I'm still looking for! I wish I could find his old guitar! #Greatmemories
On this country reunion shows is the only place you're going to get any real country music today!!! Like George Jones once said, all that other stuff they calling country music he said give it its own name but don't call it country music cuz it's not!!!!! Rest in peace George!!!!!
a legend. the man that created that sound. the pain in a song.
