True, some of these bands are m.i.a. but some of them went solo, tour, or joined other bands or record on indie record labels. Which sometimes are missed by the public because their not promoted on regional radio stations.

@@carriebrown8929 You're welcome.. There was a rumor when this song came out it was about Sheila E.. I've never heard or seen any proof of this, so I believe it was just a coincidence. But I did read a post a couple of years ago on reddit ( So please take this with a grain of salt because it is reddit ) That Prince was pissed off because RFTW used the bass line from Lady Cab Driver for Oh Sheila.. It's pretty much note for note ( That part is true, this is the part I'm not so sure about ) When the song came out Prince and Sheila E were in the back of a limo when it came on and Sheila E said to Prince " I didn't know you wrote a song for me ( Because of the Prince Bass line ) And Prince said " I didn't " Remember reddit and a grain of salt. So, Black Culture Rewind is a creation of a non-black individual, that can't pronounce some of the names in these groups, and doesn't really know much about the black bands he's narrating? Nice money grab.
The Jets didn't disappear without a trace. Actually, they split into 2 groups, like UB40. One of the groups is/or was doing a Vegas residency. I'm not sure, if they are still doing it. Unfortunately, Eugene (the one who was also in "The Boys Club") passed away last year. The Jets is still my favorite group.
You didn’t say enough about Cameo whose iconic song ‘Candy’ is played on practically every dance floor up to today. Many parties don’t get started until it’s played. C’mon. Get your (f)act(s) together!!!😢

Gangster rap grabbed a foothold, and Black music was never the same.
Gangsta rap was horrible and disgusting
Changed black people as a community as well!
