What irritates me the most about nosey people is the fact that they're to stupid to know when they're over stepping a boundary...being disrespectful by asking inappropriate questions. I have zero patience for that type of ignorance.
My co-workers keep asking me how much money I make. Because I'm Part time and they are full time. I keep telling them in a nice way to stop but they won't listen to me. How can I tell them to stop in a firm way but not rude?

My brothers friend was at my house the other day snooping around my house and going through my trash and I swear to God he was snooping in my bathroom!!!! He then had the nerve to try to invite himself over my house the next day to do yard work that I never asked him to do!!! I am furious that people think they can invade peoples privacy!!!

You don’t have to say all that in a robotic voice. When they ask nosey questions just say “unhuh” and don’t even look at them. Works like a charm. Eveytime some ask you a personal nosey question that you don’t feel like answering just say “unhuh” can keep it pushing

Thank you this was exactly what I've been looking for and for a very long time. It took me getting older, smarter, angrier, and too tired of some of the same people casually asking stuff they have no business knowing. I realized these types of people need to not only be called on their inappropriate behavior but straight up hung out to dry by embarrassing them. No one owes anyone personal info about their lives, not even family who may think they have the right when they don't. It feels good to not only be as serious as I need to be and smile only when I feel like it, but putting people tactfully in their place, assertively, and sweetly can be a joy if it's effective and and reduces stress knowing that those nosy people are taking it somewhere else because we let them know they won't be getting their thirsty, desperate gossip from me or my life. Thanks for the help to be more assertive.

Most disturbing is that now this gives more nosey people more ammunition to pry into my love life that is generally happy and these nosey people are miserable with their spouses or partner or whoever.
