hey i rlly appreciate this video i go to the gym a lot and I was doing the treadmill at max speed, one day my fibula started hurting a lot after the gym in the lower leg outer side and I found out it was my fibula. i took a day of rest and went back to the gym and I was running on the treadmill even when my leg was hurting. i shouldn't have done that because now it got swollen and I can feel a little bump or like dome shaped bump on my fibula. its been a few days I put ice in the start, later on I rested my leg/foot in warm water. i did a lot of things, wrapped my leg too. the bump is still there and I am worried that it wont go away. i cant tell if its a reaction or fracture because I can still walk. the pain has just slightly gone down but there is still a lump and I cannot run if I try to. i don't know what to do at this point and I need help, I cant tell if its a reaction or fracture due to the lump. how long will it take to heal? should I start doing lighter cardio soon maybe with the stairmaster? i feel like I could do that soon as an alternative to do cardio from running.
Hey Doc! I have gotten my second fibula stress injury in a span of 6 months but this time I got it in the other leg! I'm starting to think it has something to do with the way I am running because it seems like my achilles heal. If you could give me some type of advice or direction since I keep only getting bone issues on my fibulas Id love to hear it. Getting into college is heavily run dependent for me so Ill do anything to figure this out.
Thank you for watching and I am so glad you found the video helpful! What you describe you're probably right. I'm sure it has something to do with the way you are running and/or training. We could get on a webcam call or phone call to help you figure it out You can pick a time that works for you and block my calendar for a private call here: www.docontherun.com/hire-the-expert/
