I found out the hard way that it doesn't like Sig P320 mags. I had nothing but problems with it. Several FTF and the bolt not locking open on last rd. happened occasionally as well. This after 750+ rds. so it shouldn't have been just a "break in" issue after so many rds. I thought about sending it back for warranty work but it occurred to me that the majority of positive reviews of this firearm are with Glock mags. I had been looking to trade one of my other handguns (Sig SP2022) for a Glock anyways so I moved ahead with that trade (to a G47) and I ordered the Glock mag well for my Homesteader. I ordered several additional mags from Magpul which are even more affordable than the Glock factory mags (they just lack the holes in back to see how many rds you have) and it functioned flawlessly after 300+ rds I put through it. Heck, even if you don't own a Glock or intend to get one but want this firearm, just get the Glock version anyways and buy a few (or several) mags for it.
Probably because the market would not sustain it. Manufacturers are hesitant to produce guns with such a niche caliber. Now that .40sw is dying, I doubt we will every see a rifle in those calibers anymore. Thanks for asking!
Not sure when this video was filmed. Text December 2023, but Taib says that Glock modules aren't yet available. They were available since the summer at least. What isn't available though is the promised SIG/MnP module - neither separately nor with a gun. It's been a year, and nothing. BTW, you can get an aftermarket module for Beretta 92 magazines now.
Yeah, it runs great with Glock mags. I found out the hard way it doesn't like Sig mags so I switched to Glock. I'm sure the Ruger PC carbine is functional but I've held both in my hand and the Henry just feels so much more solid. Plus I just like the way it looks. I got plenty of "tactical" looking firearms with rails and mlok slots but I dig the Mini-BAR look of the Henry. When I took it apart, being a blowback operated firearm, I was expecting it operate like my 10/22 but to my surprise, it's more like a shotgun with the action bars attaching to the bolt. Works great.
Over priced w cheap woodwork. 5 rd mags? Seriously Henry??? Henry needs to rework this design before its worth anything close to what they are charging.
@@ToddCotta To be clear I think Henry has a good idea but it needs the following refinements. 1) They can keep the 9mm option but make 10mm or 45 acp available. 2) Take down ability. I own the Ruger PC carbine and take it all over with us in the RV and boat. It has take down which makes it really easy to travel with or pack out to a back country camp ground. 3) factory installed optic rail like the Ruger PC. 4) At least (2) 12 rd mags in the box. 5 rd mags are a joke. 4). I think everyone likes the wood. But give it a real professional finish. The rear stock isn't bad but the front panel looks and feels like a Walmart BB gun. Not sure it's even real wood. 5) I'm not a Glock guy but many are. As you said put the Glock mag adapter in the box. If Henry makes these upgrades then we're getting real value at their price point and I would be a buyer. As is it's a way overpriced glorified Ruger 10/22.
Added the Glock module to mine. Works great. Love the rifle.
I think everyone does that. For sure. Glock mags are much better than Ruger mags
One of the better reviews of this fine carbine. I have one and I love it.
I appreciate that!

Glock mags seem to match better with other guns. Great choice. Thanks for watching!
Nice and fun gun to shoot. Love wood stock guns.
Very cool little gun! Thanks for watching!
Great looking gun...thanks for showing it
Thanks for watching!
I have one and love it. I had a lot of Glock mags so that was a big factor for me. It's a really fun gun.
Glad you love that gun. It's pretty cool, isn't it. Thanks for commenting.
How come we don’t see ruger or Henry make a pc carbine in 10 mm?

Excellen! Love these reviews
Much appreciated!
I just bought a sig s & w mag well from Henry last week shooting with it today
Hope you love it!
Need in 44
Probably not going to happen. Different purpose rifle.
Better of getting a ruger pc carbine comes with optic mount and glock adapter cost less 👍
I must say I agree with you on that, but if you are a Henry person, money doesn't matter. Thanks for watching!

Good to know!
I like iron sights wood stock guns snd tbh if you buy a Ruger pc and an aftermarket wood stock it would be about 900
Yes it probably would. Thanks for watching!
I purchased the Henry carbine with the Glock mag. New for less then 800.00 dollars I believe better gun then the Ruger PC carbine
Glad to hear it!

I kind of agree with you... Especially for the price. Thanks for commenting!
