@@geekyteachgames2151 It's the same for me, on Xbox Series S. I can use cosmetics on equipment just fine but it seems impossible to use structure cosmetics now
Assuming they survived in your dino after the fight, when you pull them back into your inventory they should now be in your Cosmetics tab in your inventory. WC keeps changing things and I've heard reports of stuff going missing tho. Fingers crossed for you!
After opening cosmetics and using what I was looking for, now all the items I put into my smithy has those red x's on top of them. Even when cosmetics is closed. Any idea how to remove those x's??
Looks like the create cosmetic tab is the same as apply, I have the same layout default as in the video. Treat the create tab in the video as apply on ps5
I just tested it and I was able to successfully reskin a bed. I dragged the cosmetic to my inventory, then went back to my main cosmetics screen, and was able to click on it and then apply it to the bed. I did have to use a vanilla bed and not the modded CS beds we also have on our server. Don't know if that helps or not.
Has anyone been struggling with dying their armor??? I cannot for the life of me get the dye to go into my inventory, or even be able to apply it to anything.
@@AkaMavrick I tested it last night. The dye should be under your cosmetics tab, and from there you should be able to drag it on top of armor in your inventory to paint.
@geekyteachgames2151 it won't go into my inventory at all, it doesn't even allow me to drag it onto my armor or saddles. I use Automated Ark, but have no issues taking anything else out of the inventory of any of those structure, except the dye. It just goes back into the inventory of the structure. 🤷🏻♀️ I can't figure it out. I'm not even able to spawn the dyes in, the code doesn't work either
@@allthatihave14 i have had a lot of issues with cosmetics recently. I ended up uninstalling ALL of my mods and reinstalling which fixed the problem I was having. Not ideal but it worked. I wish WC would stop messing with the cosmetics. The OG way worked just fine.
So are we still supposed to have physical items for cosmetics or are all the ones we've earned from past events supposed to show up in there? I'm really confused by this system. It seems like the Fear Ascended skins I crafted in the smithy showed up there automatically, but stuff like the ghost dino skins still seem to be items because they are looted from corpses. I have a whole vault of previous event skins and I don't know if I can lose them if I die with them in my inventory or not.
You're a saint. I've been struggling with the new UI since it came out, especially with furniture skins. This helped so much!

They *should* be under your Cosmetics tab....but never trust WC to do things right.
