simply if you have n number of selection lines, than at that time the number of input lines will be 2^n. and if you have n number of input lines at that time the number of selection lines will be the 2 power of that n number. e.g if i have 16×1 input lines at this time the number of selection lines is the 2 power of 16 which is 4 (2×2×2×2=16).
@@heena_a333 Enable input or enable pin and select lines are not the same. when Enable = 0 , even if you select an input the output of MUX is zero i.e. MUX is OFF but when Enable =1, the selected input is obtained at the output i.e. MUX is ON

Enable (E) is missing in your video everywhere in the truth table, logic circuit and 2*1 mux diagram. I think Enable is very important in Multiplexer.
