Wow! He asked if you had back problems! My dentist experiences here have been total expensive nightmares. No such thoughtfulness, even when they were told there was an issue! I can hardly wait to get to Mexico for the first time....should be soon.
@@AlmostRetiredinMexico It's one of the things that draws me. I've been trying to bug out of FL since 2022. I think it's going to happen next month. I'm heading west, will go to Phx for my temp visa, and from there, not sure. Little timid about driving too far into the country the first time alone. Wrapped around the wheel as where to land. LaPaz and Huatulco are on top, but would like to be closer to the US for the first landing and my canje, go from there.
Had to put my sunglasses on after your whitening! 😎 Har! Looks great, even after all those margaritas. My husband got a night guard in Chapala last August for under $30 US. They’re asking over $600 in our Texas town. 🤑 We had a great experience. Your dentist is awesome, too! And you’re so fun to share so many experiences with us all! ¡Viva Mexico!
I've been getting my teeth cleaned in Mexico for the last 10 years, we spoke with our Cabo dentist about tooth (teeth?) whitening and he talked us out of it...he said "you Americans all want white teeth but most teeth aren't white" he literally talked us out of it. Funny but true, goes to show these folks aren't out to just get money right? I worked in the medical field for more than 30 years and I must complement your dentist on the through exam. Well done, I actually have 2 friends that have had serious illness' discovered by their dentists...one was a thyroid disorder and the other was a lymph node tumor. I'd trust your dentist for sure
Wow - I didn't know there was so much a dentist could figure out from a mouth! I'm happy with my whitening - it's more of an "un-yellowing" - it's not obnoxious white like some people do. I feel like it just removed the tea stains that have been building up!
WHAT FUN! * Sarcastically said* I do NOT like going to the dentist. However You seemed to have tolerated this quite well! My brother and his wife love their Mexican Dentist! They go across the border for all their dental and medical needs for the most part... with a high insurance deductible you can usually pay less than your co-pays. Thanks for taking us along Brighton, and your smile is always beautiful no matter what! I will be getting some dental work done this Winter while I am in Puebla... I am sure there will be skid marks where my heels were dug in as they drag me there... jajaja! Keep up the great work.
I've never had a big fear of dentists, but this one was extra easy. And I love the dog - I'm not sure how one requests the "dental dog" to help keep you comfortable.
Wow... That's amazing how he was able to fit both hands in your mouth at the same time. 🤣I by chance went to my dentist last week due to a chipped tooth. The visit to check the chip took app. 10 min. total (in chair and out). and cost $156. I think you got the bargain of the day. Thanks for not playing the damn drill sounds that we associate with Dentists. P n D
Ohhh - that drill sounds is awful. I can always hear it coming from another patient in my Portland dentist's office. Along with hearing tears hitting the floor - not only from the pain, but also the price!
When I lived in the States, I never went to a dentist (it had probably been 10 years when I first moved to Mexico.) One of the first things I did was schedule a dentist appointment. I had a wisdom tooth removed (because it had a cavity that had reached the root,) and a thorough cleaning. I can't remember offhand how much all of that was, but it was less than $200, I'm sure. And, as you said, it was as professional an environment as anything north of the border. It's nice to live in a place where health care is affordable and excellent.
Glad you've got healthy teeth now. It's so easy in Mexico and I get so much more time with the dentist (versus 95% of the time being with a hygienist in the US.)
I have been going to a dentist in TJ for the last year and won’t be going back to a USA dentist again. Cheaper, do professional, spend so much time chatting with you and more. I walk over the border and they send a uber
I love the Uber to the border. I've seen a special border lane for people getting medical treatments in TJ. It's so much more affordable and super high quality.
What's the mask situation like in La Paz? They seem more prevalent in La Paz than other cities based on videos I've seen. Is this just local custom or are they actually enforcing it by law?
Looking great! I had my teeth whitened by an Americn dentist and within 2 years my teeth were breaking off. Funny (not funny) that the assistant was busy flirting with my then husband in the other room and forgot to keep an eye on timing for my whitening. Saddest part was that MY insurance was paying for his cleaning (and cheating). Oh well, lesson learned. I am happy for you, though.

Brighton, I reached out to you earlier about seeing you at your happy hour at Christmas time. I can’t find the video that says what bar it’s at. Can you tell me?
Thanks for the forecast! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Hmmm, I know someone who is going through school as a dental technician, 😂. I’m wondering how much a bridge is in La Paz, as it is pricey in TJ, where a friend of mine got quoted well over $1k per bridge.
I just did a quick Google search and found that bridges can be quite different. So maybe $1k was reasonable. Check this out: www.medicaltourismco.com/dental-crowns-bridges-in-mexico-cost-quality/
@ It has been proven that amalgam fillings continue to release mercury. Dentists should have known not to put mercury in people’s teeth in the first place and that fluoride is a neurotoxin. When removing, the dentist needs to use a mouth dam and you can take activated charcoal afterward to help absorb the toxins.
Dr Juan y Doctora Zara are the BEST!
Mexican dentists are the best! I've been many times. Some I've known over 20 yrs!
Can you recommend one somewhere in Baja Norte for instance? Gracias!
Thanks for sharing your experience! What a wonderful dentist. And I love the therapy dog!
I laughed when you checked to see if the dog has white teeth.
Thanks for recognizing my comedic side!

Come on down - we'll save a seat at the dentist's office for you. I love how caring the people are here.

I've never seen whitening done by a dentist before (just the do-it-yourself strips), how cool! Thanks for sharing.
I've tried the DIY option and I never have seen a real difference. This was a big difference in less than an hour.
Definitely whiter. They look great.
Thanks Lisa!
how about coffee ? affect whitening job? what kind of tea do you drink? green tea? they look great. thanks!!

I need a new nightguard - thanks for the reminder. Another reason to see Dr. Juan! Hasta luego.

Everyone does!
Great job Brighton! Did the $200 include the dental cleaning and exam? Gracias!

They look so nice! I would like to know if your get tooth sensitivity, esp. if you eat citrus fruit.
I haven't had any trouble with tooth sensitivity.

Thanks!

Hi I’m thinking of moving to la Paz or at least buying property there. I’d love to talk with you and ask some questions. Is there a way to reach out?

Those amalgam fillings are part mercury!
Yes, I know. All my dentists have said it's not yet necessary to remove them, but they will need to be replaced in the future.
