Exactly, from experience I can truly say that helping a person comes second to how much money they can get from the struggling individual.
I fortunately was able to get sober without the help from a treatment center.

I guess the answer would be , have state run facilities that rehab people ? I don’t know , but any time there is government money involved it’s like hitting the lottery for the business owners … there is a local business in my town who landed a government contract making nuts and bolts or something like that with a 3000 sq ft building they leased ….
That family who was a middle class family , now owns half the side of a mountain 400 plus acres , with multiple 10 bedroom houses , I think 8 or 9 , one for each family member , private air strip , boats , guard house with 2 guards at all times , multiple properties in various states near or on the beaches , every one drives at least a Lexus etc …
i am friends with them but it is an amazing transformation they made from a normal 4 bedroom decent house with a mortgage, used newer pickup truck , to living like the rich and famous now within 8 years .. I can only imagine how businesses in the medical field are billing …
Moral of the story is , the government over pays for everything with our money , blindly it seems .. we pay for all of this ..
I have seen it first hand , im not saying people shouldn’t get paid for their work , but the excess when dealing with government is amazing ..

This is why they need to do Electronic Verification for these treatment centers like they do home health services workers. It will cut down on fraud.

Let’s not pretend as this is an isolated incident, or something only happening at treatment centers.. Anyone remember the former FL gov who as CEO of a hospital group stole more than 2bn? This is so rampant in the US.. and politicians have zero incentive to stop it. Without a doubt they get kickbacks, etc. when this stuff happens.

Thats some terrible money management and spending. So basically he treated around 600 people and it cost what? 31 million dollars? There are millions of drug addicts. We would go broke before helping 1% of them. This doesnt help them. They need jobs and a purpose to live

If you're there and you apply to go to group or had to go to group because of a court order in the group is 4 hours long and the insurance except for hours and you chose to sit in the parking lot of course you'll still be billed for the 4 hours

They do this with private insurance as well in mental health facilities they check with insurance how long they are covered for and wont let them leave for that period of time which is illegal without a court order if they are a voluntary patient.

The owner is smart. Look how he's dressed. Kind of disheveled you know like his hair's messy like he's working so hard and he's not meticulous. So visually it looks like billing mistakes could happen, but he is not wearing a very expensive suit. He's probably nothing flashy. It's very smart. I know a lawyer told him to do that

Probably big DFL donors, so the Feds had to step in and investigate and the state begrudgingly followed suit. Given Walz's choice to run the Marijuana department who had to withdraw her nomination, its par for the course.

A mistake happens here or there, once or twice accidentally entering a single patient showing up and they didn’t. A mistake is not something that happens over and over again for many many patients. People who claim to help others and do things like this are the most disgusting.
