Haha.. thanks 😜 tried the rode mic on the camera closer to mouth and less compression with no floor raised.. little bit reverb due to the large room.. haha I'm getting carried away..
A twenty-year old camera that even managed a tippy-tail - what more do you want! Nice one Roberto, I agree that basic is good. Technology has certainly moved on. Keep plugging away, those extra subscribers will come - and if they don't, it's their loss.
menu walkthrough might be a little too late.. 20 years late. I'm trying a new rode mic with better lighting.. lol RUclips studio.. what have I become lol
haha.. i think the aussie accent does it... hard to keep a straight face when I sound like a Galah.. I was boring myself so I thought I'd throw in a few Jerry photos... LOL
Always nice to see you and Roberto. When you do the photo walk with this camera, can you please test image quality on iguanas and alligators? especially iguana headshots for passport photos. Speaking of simple menus, I got the Fuji X-T4 a couple of years ago and I have yet to dive into the menu, I set the iso, aperture and shutter speed without even having to turn the camera on, I love those analog dials. Be well, stay safe and I’m looking forward to the photo walk.
Nobody can beat the Enriqo Iguana specials, but I'll try to find some crocodiles 😆 the Fuji dials are the way to go. If only my eyesight was good. I need to learn how to wear a pair of glasses properly. Spot on. All we need is A, S and ISO
Is there any way to make the ael button act as the focus button for back button focus? I've never come across a DSLR that couldn't do this, but I can't figure out how to do it on this one.
@@dirkfierce2525 yes. The OK button can do it. 1. Put it in manual focus first 2. Press Menu.. wrench 1... Custom OK and set it to AF/MF Now while in MF mode you can either manual focus with lens or back button focus with OK button
@@robdido Lol thank you! That totally worked and I never would have figured that out. The placement of the OK button does not make it an ideal back focus button, but it's manageable (I am still baffled Oly didn't give the AE button that option). I would probably have been frustrated by this back in the day had I bought it new, but today it's just another quirky feature of an already quirky, yet enjoyable, camera.
@dirkfierce2525 @dirkfierce2525 haha. That's what I thought why the OK button of all places. Got me wanting to take it out for another walk and test it out. Don't use BBF much. Got to get used to it
@@robdido Since I watched the video I went out today to shoot with my E-300 (I use it quite often). I have always used only RAW, but set it this time to RAW+SHQ like you do. I must say in general the JPGs look very pleasing! What i noticed though is that there is a slight crop on the JPGs compared to the RAW files. Do you have the same?
@@robdido Latest was 1.5, unfortunately Olympus dropped the support for this model. Love this camera but it has some quirks. I'm struggling with the VF to match focus on manual lenses. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Wow, it even has a Jerry screen saver! So ahead of its time!
Lol.. yes Jerry 1.5 firmware update
Great vid. Just picked up a 300 and a 510. Pairing with a Oly 11-22mm.
Cool setup. Thanks for that comment. Appreciate people loving these great old cameras
Sound is much better!

Somehow even you scrolling menu is still fun to watch. Maybe because I can't take you seriously. In good way, I mean! :)

Brilliant stuff Roberto. And sorry, I can't subscribe twice...
Haha.. all good. Your company is enough. One day I'll crack the RUclips code 😆

@@Bigfarmer8no. Same size. I viewed both on workspace and didn't see any crop happen?
@@robdido OK, Thanks Roberto. Probably camera or firmware related then. Or software. I use only OM Workspace.
Tried upgrading the firmware yet?
Yes and it says that 1.0 is the latest

@@nihielssoh. I wonder if I could maybe find 1.5 and update manually. I'll try to Google it. Thanks for the info

Thanks Malachi. Great camera still today 👍
