Hi Candy! So great to hear from you. I made that lighter shade swatch with US 7 (4.5 mm) needles with leftover yarn from a while back (had originally bought it for a short-sleeve top I knitted). It is a light (likely 3) weight, 3-ply yarn and was a cotton-poly blend. I think any light/fingering weight warn will give a nice drape; using one-size larger needles should also give more drape.
