EOB is a phenomenal sonic palette cleanser. You can use it between ANY songs, not just Tool songs. And the Patient, well its a special song, and double meaning. Its talking about the virtue of patience, but its also treating you, the listener, like you're a patient being healed by the lessons of the song.
Some of Maynards greatest work...and my life mantra, the path you're on is the path you chose, and no matter how tedious it may seem....STAY THE PATH!!! Be you, follow your gut and instincts, be a good person, and accomplish what you set out to do!!! And "Keep reminding yourself"!!!!!!
My second favorite TOOL song, after The Grudge. This album is just...beyond. Greatest. Album. Ever. Made.

I share your sentiments. I did a deep dive on Tool, to get a better handle on Adam Jones' guitar tone(s), and wound up falling in love with this album all over again. (I loved it the day it dropped, but, now, even more so.) A sonic masterpiece. Eloquent, incisive and almost jarringly esoteric at first, this tasty little number will fill you up, but won't let you down in the flavor department. :)

Agreed, do the whole album. With your 3rd eye opened now, you'll have a whole new appreciation for it. It will be just like hearing it for the first time, only now, you know what to listen for.

its crazy for how good Tool songs are at first listen they just get better the more you listen to them. Also Eon Blue Apocalypse is a very underrated track, Im guessing because of how short it is. Great to see a reaction to these 2 songs.

I my opinion the section from 8:14 to 9:26 is one of the Best TOOL moments...ever.
Should have revisited the Grudge I was a huge Tool fan by that point had to wait 5 years for lateralus had to listen to it a few time before a realize how awesome that song is one of there best of the best.

Eon Blue Apocalypse is supposedly a tribute to Adam’s dog. And the Patient is Maynard both and his mother. Depending on the point of view and what part of the song you’re at.
