Stunning blue sky out your office windows 😮😊
Right?!?! Oh man!
Those knots are very interesting indeed, and they are set in very nice handles.
Technology and innovation is wickedly awesome! And thanks! They have so many great options!
I think you are going to like these a lot! Not sold yet on the water retention abilities of the new technology, but they are doing something right for sure.
I've used them a few times now, and I can see what you mean about water retention. Do you have both knots?
@@Tobins_throwbacks not sure which ones I got though, ordered a few in haste before the Chinese holidays just to get a feel for them and make a fee brushes so other folks can try them. Will show you why they may have some loose bristles.
I'd like to one day buy one of these
I appreciate your brush reviews!
Thanks for this nice first impression!
Thanks for watching!
Nice first impressions. I love the colors on Extra Density knot one. Both look similar and both seem to perform great. Ive had a few Synthetic knots loose a few hairs on first use, i think its just the hairs that didn't get glued well. Have a great week
Thanks Mike and yeah you're right and if I recall correctly these things are hand-tied I haven't lost any sense the video. It was just worthy of pointing out in the video for the viewer. I'll definitely bring it up in a video or two with it. The face feel is fantastic!
Great brushes Tobin, I'm looking forward to your thoughts on them coming up!
Thanks Ian, I used the black one again last night . The face feel is great!
Beautiful handles especially on that one.
You're right about the gelling on Oumo brushes. They literally don't sell a single knot that doesn't have some degree of bleaching/gelling on them. I'm not saying it's bad, because they're really well done, but it might not be a lot of people's cup of tea. So far the nicest one from them is the HMW Silvertip they sell on their Aliexpress store.
Thanks! When I get a chance from what you just said I think I might send you a picture of the one I think you are talking about. I'm willing to give them a try and I trust your judgment and think we have similar tastes.
When gel is done right I like them, sadly more are done wrong than right IMO. That's why I like the ones that Rob Moffett does for his shop Chisel and Hound his dad's shop Sawdust Creation Studio amd Grizzly Bay.
Have a good one brother!
@@Tobins_throwbacks Thanks, Tobin.
Brush addiction is a struggle for me as well. 😊
It really is!
Great score!
I'm loving them so far
Hello!!! Nice job Man!
Thanks bro!
I would imagine you have some "colorful" passengers from time to time
😊 not so much the passengers, they people in town
Very nice, enjoy!
Thanks Patrick!
Little big things 🤙🤙🤙
Indeed! Thanks David!
Enjoy your new brush.
Thank you! Used it again last night, the black one. Great face feel!
@@Tobins_throwbacks That's wonderful Tobin. Did you know that Velocity razor that costs $1,000 is manufactured using the same formula as car engines
@@jonathan19947 yeah I heard that
@@Tobins_throwbacks I guess that's the real reason why it costs so much not really how it shaves because as you said all razors give the same or similar kind of shave they're all the same if you want my take on it
@j65724 yeah that is one of the reasons. Plus where it's made. Part of the reason for example with the Konsuls cost is its made in the USA.
I always give synthetics a wash in shampoo and a soak in Detol, just in case. You know, because I'm obsessive😂
Detol?
@@Tobins_throwbacks it is an antiseptic and antibacterial solution that smells strongly of hospital. In a nice, reassuring way.
Are they any vendors that have these?
Not that Im aware of.
"Poos and Giggles" 😏
I think you’re addicted to buying shaving brushes.
Just a little 😊 hope you're having a great Saturday brother!
I have one brush. Thinking of doubling my collection to two in the next few months.
@@robertross8565 that's how it starts 😉 which one are you using now or what type of fiber?
Yaqi 26 mm Synthetic. Thinking of getting a AP Shave Co. 26 mm G5A SHD knot with that cheap blue handle you have.
@robertross8565 if you do look in the seconds bin. I only paid $6 for that handle and the defects are SUPER hard to see.
Yes Mr. Tobin, I have a brush addiction as well! I have 10 or so Oumo brushes. They are all badger knots of various grades. Talk about impressive…. Quality is first rate and pricing is reasonable for what you get. Sure, I’m buying more! (Maybe I’ll even try a synthetic when you get done with your review. Best regards, Glenn
I've heard the SilverTip is worth checking out. Do you have one? Thoughts on it?
@@Tobins_throwbacks Most of the Oumo knots are two band badger. The Emperor series is a Silvertip. Less backbone on them and a bit softer. Although the LM-1 has even less backbone, and it’s a 2 band badger. Every knot is wonderful, depending on your mood. Tyrant T4 is amazing… soft tips and p,entry of backbone. Ace A1 gives you a little scratch, which is nice when you are in the mood for it. All need some breaking in, soap hogs in the beginning. Here is what I think I have… 3 Tyrant T4, One Emperor E2, One LM1, one Ace A1, 2 Meri 2 (gorgeous white badger - May be dyed, don’t know, but a favorite of mine. 2 or 3 Manchuria M2. I love them all!
