Thank you for showing the different stages , that's exactly what I was looking for!
You are very welcome ❤️
Thank you!!! I've been way too nervous to try this out after hearing how the cans might explode, but your knowledge put me at ease. I finally made some today, and it's awesome :)
You're welcome! I'm so glad I could help. I'm happy to hear it turned out well 😊
This video was beyond helpful, I always wondered how it would turn out if I cooked it for various lengths of time. Also, I love hearing you talk, you're so cute! Subscribed.
Awww, you are so sweet. Thank you 🥰. I'm so glad you find this video helpful.
Brilliant idea shir, gyal you know I love #3
Thanks gyal, #3 di stin 😁
I love making caramel like this💕
Thank You for Sharing 😊
My pleasure, it's the best 😊💕
Love this! Thanks 🇨🇦🙌🏽
You're welcome! Glad you liked it. 😊
Thank you for the explanation. And the 3 levels of doneness. I have a much better idea of what we’re going for.
You are very welcome. I'm glad this was helpful!
Thank you for your time and energy to show us the stages and what to expect!!!!! I was told to let it boil for 8 hours!😂. I knew that didn't sound right!!! 😂. So again, THANK YOU!!!❤
You are very welcome ❤️
Gosh, 8 hours is a long time 😂
I think the 8 hour method is for the crock pot method.
Very helpful, thank you.
You are welcome 😊
Great background music too ❤😊
Thank you! 💕
Very good👍🏼
Thank you Tony!
I used to run a cafe in Brighton and banoffee pie was very popular. We have to boil 6 can at once every few days until one day someone forget to top the water up and it went dry. A huge explosion as one can split open covering a massive area in hot sticky caramel. The problem was the gas was still on and 5 can we’re primed to explode and no body want to go near the cooker. I crawled on the floor and reached up to turn the gas of when ‘bang’ a deafening explosion like a hand grenade firing its shrapnel. No more went up but let me tell you it to several days to clear the mess from the kitchen.
Wow! That sounded scary. On the bright side, at least you lived to tell the story 😁❤️
Thanks. This was so helpful.
You are welcome. I'm glad to hear that 🤗
Love this and doing it for the first time right now. My can is cooling right now. I'll let y'all know when I open the can. Til later ~S
I hope it turned out great for you 😊
Special thanks for this one. Afraid of explosions, I never dared to boil the cans. Instead, 8 hours at 185º in canning jars. Your method is much easier and looks great. I like DDL in coffee and oat cookies too.
You are so welcome and thank you too. You know I never think of it exploding. I guess because my mom always did it growing up and we've never had it happen. I think if that ever happen I will be scared for the rest of my life lol.
Well Shirani I learned something from you about making Dulce de Leche. I agree with you #3 looks the best.
Thank you Debbie! So glad you find my video helpful ❤
Number 3 looks the business 😋
Yes!! 😊

Thank you Pamela! Enjoy your day as well❣
Awesome 😊thanks!
You are very welcome 😊
Thank you!
You're welcome 😊
Hi Shirani,
I have never tried doing this. Thanks for the tip. I definitely like the color of number 3. 👍
I will give it a try.
Thanks and many blessings to you and your family. ❤🙏🏼
You are so welcome Carmen! Thank you so much as well. It's so good, I think you are going to like it especially with the yellow cake (my recipe link in the description). Blessings to you and your family as well ❤❤
This is very Helpful. Thank you🙏
You are very welcome 😊
I would be interested to know how these 3 variants taste. Is No. 3 "more bitter" than No. 1? Great video, I love it. You show us the 3 hour method, thanks so much! 🥰🌷
You are very welcome 🥰. I'm glad you find this video helpful. I don't think the 3rd one is bitter. The 1st one is more like sweet milk or sweet cream with no caramel-like flavor. The longer it cooks, the more caramel-like nutty flavor it has. Hubby and I like the 3rd one the best.
Hi Shirani! I always love how your videos bring peace to my heart :). The Dulce de Leche you made look amazing, and I would love to try out the three-hour version 😋.
Also, I got Instagram! I'm still setting up my account, but I'm following now :D
Hello! Aww, that makes me so happy to hear that. It always warms my heart to see a comment from you ❤
Yay, you got Instagram! 😀
Hello! Thank you for the video. I simmered 2 cans for 3hrs. Put them closed in my pantry. Have not opened them 😂 I read somewhere that if you don’t open the cans you can keep them in the pantry until needed. If opened the caramel should be refrigerated until used. What I want is to use it to fill a cake I’m decorating 3 days from now. If too thick for a filling how can I make it smoother for spreading. Hope it makes sense. Wish me luck!!!
You are very welcome. I think it should last a long time in the pantry. I know you can buy it at the store in the can already boiled. Hmm I'm not sure what you can use to thin it out. I've never had to do that. I'm sorry I can't help 😔
Hey , i was wondering about how to fix the can of ready made boil milk that has some sugar crystals forming if u would do the same thing n boil it for an hour
Hello! That's never happened to me before. I wouldn't boil it for an hour. I would try adding a little bit of water to it and heat it through until the crystals are melted.
How to store the can if not to use it immediately? In the refrigerator? Or at room temperature.
Store it at room temperature.
@CookingwithShirani thank you
I like #2 & 3
Hi shirani do you have recipes for lemon pie and for fudge?
Hi Glenda, no I don't but I have them on my list of things to make 😊
Do you store it overnite in the fridge after it cools down?
You only store it in the fridge after you open it.
@@CookingwithShirani Ok Thank You very much I love this recipe. I’m Spanish and I have eaten it so often, but had no idea how it was made. 😄
😅❤️
SO I have a touch electric stove, but my question is at what number shall I keep it simmer ? or what c ?
You want to let it simmer on number 4.
Pwede ba yung ube flavor na condence
I'm sorry I've never seen that before.
how long can you store the closed cans for?
I'm really not sure. I've only made it the day before I use it. I imagine it can last a long time because I've seen it at the store in the can already made.
❤
❤️
Can you do this with Sweetened Coconut Condensed Milk?
And do you have a video on it?
Thanks for sharing!
You are welcome. Oh wow, I didn't even realize they have coconut condensed milk. So no I don't have a video. I imagine it would work but I can't say for sure about the boiling time.
@@CookingwithShirani Yes, they do. My god son is lactose intolerant so I was looking for an alternative for him.
Can you pretty ease show how you add this to cake…I think you said Yellow cake. Id love to see what all you can do with this. Thank You :):)
You are welcome 😊
Here is the link to the yellow cake recipe, that will show how I add it to the cake.

@@CookingwithShirani Thank You so much. That cake looks delicious! This way to make caramel, I’ve never heard of it! I went shopping today and bought some cans and yellow cake mix. Thank You for sharing all these wonderful recipes. Your AweSome!! 🌻🌷🌼🥀🌸🌹🌺💐
Aww, you are so welcome and thank you very much as well ❤. If you ever get a chance you should try this yellow cake recipe. It taste different from the cake mix. Don't get me wrong I love cake mix. I live for them lol. The only thing with cake mix it is a more delicate cake so your cake might crumble a bit if you try to frost it with the dulce de leche. Let me know how you like yours 🤗
I cook mine in the crock-pot for 8 hours over night.
Did you cook on low.or high heat?
@@diwatamay I cook mine on high. I waited to answer because I was experimenting. I have fond 8 to 11 house is best for the flavor I like. Is not as good as it gets darker.
👍🏻🤗💋
❤️
Easier than making caramel sauce.
For sure.
Super helpful! Thank you
My pleasure!
