New sub here and i am super excited to see where the journey and adventure takes us! I loved that corner glassed in framed cupboard but i tend to get carried away in furniture stores wanting everything i see in it haha. You have a darling and adorable child that you are doing fantastic with and yes the healthiest stuff first before the fun foods after to get all the important things in! I got lucky with my three sons. They loved their veggies. Both raw and steamed. The raw veggies we would have a large plate of assorted raw veggies looking gorgeous and in the middle would be their favorite choice of dips. They would get their zoo pal plates i love those things back in a day that i no longer see in stores but you could put your favorite dipping sauces in the ears of the animal plate and your snacks on the face of the animal plate haha. All the broccoli, celery, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, carrot slices, red yellow and orange sweet bell paper slices vanished within the hour and they would so much love it when i would leave the large veggie platter in the family room so they could all watch tv while snacking or taking turns on the game cube back when that was popular. Fruit was more of a breakfast thing and it was your traditional bananas apples grapes. Summer time watermelon mainly. But they loved their steamed veggies and i kid you not they loved steamed spinach and steamed broccoli without adding anything but for a pinch of salt. Then they enjoyed steamed peas, carrots, steamed brussel sprouts, white sweet corn on the cob, vegetable soup and my trick to that one was to steam all the veggies in a steamer so the veggies would hold all the natural nutrients and just add it all in after everything such as the roast i would bake in the oven let it rest and then slice it up , it was so tender perfect for children to easily chew. But it would simmer in the broth in the soup pot and then i would let it rest to where it was warm and just add the steamed veggies and everything in the soup was a power house of healthy food. Anyway i am so excited for you and your newest member of the family on the way.
