Very very valuable class. Thank you ma'am. One teacher gave the long lu in the set of vowels. Now it is clear. Tha sane teacher gave a final consonant after ha, which looks almost like a closed ka or la. What is that?
Thank you very much. My dream to learn Sanskrit come true at the age of 75.Though I knew it. The basic I wanted to learn. Thank you. Babji. Thank Medam. ❤
Ma'am it's been three years I haven't touched Sanskrit and my pronunciation has committed suicide.... 5 years mehnat( class 6-10) Pani main chalo ja chuki hai chapak😂... I am starting from scratch and I have noticed that no one has that clarity in that pronunciation like my school sanskrit teacher everyone has got an accent but ma'am your accent is similar to hers.... I am grateful I found your channel
I start to study Sanskrit and your explanation provides me with specific details that make it easier for me to understand the structure of sound. Thank you very much.
Aprendendo o Sânscrito sozinho. Sua aula foi de extremo valor. Gratidão! (do Brasil) / Learning Sanskrit on your own. Your class was extremely valuable. Gratitude! (from Brazil)
I have been searching for a channel that teaches Sanskrit pronunciations.Thank you for uploading the video.Your teaching is very clear.Thankyou for your effort.please continue the good work.
Longtime student of Sanskrit & think this is wonderful channel. I learned background details not taught & very appreciated. There is beautiful, color-coded poster of the Devanagari alphabet available from American Sanskrit Institute website. I’ve studied w/ founder many years ago, tho not an affiliate. Spent 3.5 yrs learning w/ my Jyotisha guru. This channel is a true blessing. Pranams & thank you. 🙏🏼🪷❤️
I’m so happy to note that at least one person knows the proper pronunciation of the swara “l” (which comes after a, aa, i, ee, u, oo, Ru, Ruu). I’ve seen several videos of basic Sanskrit and everyone has pronounced it as “lR”. What they pronounce makes no sense whatsoever. What you pronounce makes absolute sense. Thank you
Wow!!! Finally a channel with pronounce of this language clear. Normally people put music behind or the microphone do not permit a clear sound and this do not encourage us to watch the video ... you got an inscribed and liker video....keep going. Thank you so much!!
I.Ramamurthy Sanksrit is one of the best language in the world which consists of science whether maths, chemistry, physics, astrology and astronomy. It should be encouraged to younger generation of India. Unfortunately, tamil politicians dead against this beautiful language of Sanskrit. However, due to bramin communities this language is surviving for spiritual purposes. Thanks for the revival of sacret and beautiful lsnguage. I saw in Germany that german language is basically on sanskrit prnounciation only. Indonesian, Thai, Mslayshia, Sri Lanka, Combodia languages are mixture of old sanskrit language though Pali language is reformation of sanskrit only. Jai Shri Ram Jai Hind Bharat Mata ki jai Vande Matharam Satyameva Jayate
I’ve just began helping my newer samskritam classmates, who are having difficulties learning, and memorizing the devanagari symbols, and were dropping out of class. Since I’ve been learning them a while longer, and have pretty mastered most of them, (with my teacher’s blessings), I’ve just began teaching them. I’ll limit myself just to the devanagari, since I’m still a novice student myself. I just found you today, and have subscribed, as I’m sure I’ll derive much from these, to know how to best help my classmates, and friends looking to learn samskritam. Thank You for these videos🙏 harih om
Excellent - there are many details here, that are worth learning. Many who have been associated with Samskritam may not have this detailed background of each swara. I have learnt a lot from this video. Please do follow up - after Varnamala, doing a series on the vedic swara will be wonderful. It should be widely understood, not only by the vedic scholars, but the general public. I would not only watch your future videos but strongly recommend it to others as well.
Just started learning samskritam , didn't know where to start. This is perfect!! Waiting to be able to translate this comment into samskritam after learning!!!
Very valuable video. Very nicely explained. I didn't know so many details about varnamala.. vowels are independent sounds and consonants are dependent I didn't know while reading/learning English.. l also I didn't know earlier n Lr I didn't know You explained it slowly and in very simple language. Thank you very much..
Excellent Bhagini.. pronunciation..subtle differences we should understand in lu,,lru..and no dheerga in lu(svara) ...and explaining why it is svara..why it is ayogavaha... thoroughly eyeopeners..vsincere effort in explaining to us .every nuance...Thank You so much..keep up goodwork Bhagini...
Thanks for this video. As a Tibetan, we recite so many mantras in Samskritam without knowing the meaning nor with proper pronunciation. I hope your video will open the “door” to both issues. I was just watching a video of black TARA and hearing the sound of Mantras ( Ohm Tare-TuTare-TuReh-SoHa…..). It would be wonderful to find out the real mantra and its meaning.
How interesting and distinctly different is the Sanskrit classification of Sounds and resultant Grammar as the Classical Greek and Latin, the basis of Western Grammar and classification of sounds. I do not yet know about ancient Hebrew.
Indeed, Thank you for sharing this lesson. It gave many of us, I’m sure, new insights and corrections. For me, a pushing 80 years senior, the correction of the vocalic LR… not to pronounce the R! I will watch you again. 😊
Thank you very much, your teaching made me more passionate to learn Devanagari bhasha, would like to know whether u conduct a separate session to teach. Request pls
The pronounciation is the most important in Samskritam. Your Samskritam sounds are SUPER. Congratulations!

I like that you spell it as Samskritam. That’s how I spell it, and that’s what the standard spelling should be.
Very very valuable class. Thank you ma'am. One teacher gave the long lu in the set of vowels. Now it is clear. Tha sane teacher gave a final consonant after ha, which looks almost like a closed ka or la. What is that?
This video was really valuable for begginers as well as to those who have learnt Sanskrit earlier.
Ah, a brand new word for poor beggarly beginners: "BEG"inners! Breck He"BEGGAR" will be surprised!
