Don’t know about others but Sherpa never used to do guthuk. Probably they do it now after heavy influence frm Tibetans but they never used to do more than 20 years ago.
@s am sure non of them wants to be tibetan their ancestors are tibetan. But now they are nepali that shares tibetan culture. If u ask anyone of them they will say they are nepali. I have not met anyone that says ah we are Tibetan. All the Himalayan cultures are linked to tibetan culture
