This series is inspired by Wadzee and Luke TheNoteable Hardcore Minecraft Series, as well as Mumbo Jumbo and Grian on the Hermitcraft server. However, instead of it being Wadzee, Luke, Mumbo Jumbo or Grian, it's actually just Skyes, POG. I like to make Giant Mega Builds, and this is similar to a Custom Minecraft Challenge video, except the Custom Minecraft Challenge is to survive. You could call this Minecraft, But Survival.

i really enjoy the cinematic shots but honestly if i had to pick between the replay and distance mods, i’d pick distance 10/10 times. i love it when you’re super high up on a mountain and you can see forever, and since you’re planning to have lots of mega builds spanning out across the entire world it would make stuff way easier to find, plus it makes for some super cool horizon shots!! fantastic video as always, i’m already loving this new series 🩷

so one good 1.21 bit, the villager trade rebalance is only in experimental, you don't have to worry about it unless you intentionally add it
also there is a fabric mod that lets you use name tags to change a villager to different biome variants, and far as i know it works, the modpack i was testing it on kinda became crash happy and i'm still not sure what mod did it
commenting so maybe he sees this (I was hesitating starting my new world until i found this out)
actually, i really like the idea of spreading out how you can get the trade is. But the problem is we dont really get any method to know where the rest of the biome unless using some mods or a site like chunkbase.

34:47 the reason they're gathering at the trap doors is because they see it as if there wasn't anything there. If you put a trap door on top and on the bottom of the inside of the doorway you can crouch your way in and out And I don't think baby villagers can walk through it
i have a mod suggestion for you, the mod is called Chipped it adds a lot of workbenches, and the possibilities are endless i recommend it a lot and i hope you use it in the future

Literally love your series!! I think the movies/episode reviews are something fun and different than just focusing on Minecraft (a good refresher from the long videos). I hope one day you’ll get on hermitcraft, I’ll definitely will be watching

Cinematic and pov shots are fun, I just like watching you having fun and doing things and having you as background noise when i make lace / work on my thesis. The mini movie reviews are also fun. Also you being in survival is much less stressful to observe, then I know nothing much can go terribly wrong so you are easier to relax to. The very relaxing music (guitar?? country??) you have in the background is also very pleasant. If you decide to use more / different mods then go wild, all that matters is that you are having fun. I find your usual self enjoyable to observe as some stranger on the internet who will likely never encounter you. The subtitles are as ever a great addition.
Perhaps my only point of backseat gaming, if you will allow me it, is to bring an ender chest along for extra storage and on hand resources. I personally view them as an early shulker box since you seemed averse to using the backpack mod (at least by 55:55 in the video which is the time I'm writing this comment).

I like the pov skyes and the movie reviews the only time I watch a video on youtube that’s longer than an hour is your videos

The ones in the overworld are supposed to be Sniffers, so perhaps a distant cousin of them like skeletons and wither skeletons?
I'm pretty sure the villager rebalance isn't implemented in 1.21 yet. I think it is still experimental

if you use any of your tools that has Fortune on it, you can actually just get a ton more of the potatoes or even other crops, instead of using your hands

i like the idea of there being lore behind the bone blocks in the nether and there being an enemy that spawns around them because they kinda look like ribcages like in 17:09 so it'll be cool if the enemy was a giant snake or smth
I have to admit, I actually prefer the POV over the cinematics, because I feel like it's more immersive that way. The cinematic shots almost feel like I've been bumped *out* of the game rather than playing it vicariously, which is what I normally feel when watching your videos.
Also, I would definitely love the movie and show reviews to carry over to here as well. I love them, and they're actually really helpful in deciding what to watch.
Additional also, just thought I'd point out, if you like Shogun and you're into reading books in addition to manga, Shogun is actually based on the book by James Clavell. He had a whole series, if I remember right. My dad used to have one of the books sitting in a bureau at the top of our stairs when I was little, but he always said not to bother reading it because it was too bloody and I'd hate it XD
I rly like the cinematic shots and movie ratings bc the shots are rly pretty and it makes it feel like more of an adventure. The movie ratings are just entertaining and useful so I think you should do more of both 👍🏾🥳🥳

You can put ladders inside the villagers house to escape, just don't put ladder on the bottom most block so the villagers won't be able to go through it, but you would be able to
Trapdoor work good too, but i like ladders more
I love this world so much better and since it isn't hardcore we won't lose it so we will never have to not see it again.
I love how he ignored iron ore cuz his inventory was full with copper ore in previous episode & now he has 24 stacks of copper ingot for absolutely no reason at all 😂😂
They don't added the villagers experiment to the final 1.21 update.
Skyes, your videos are good but you should add a twist in your Minecraft worlds. Like no abusing the game system, no iron farm, villagers etc. It would be fun! And yes, the cinematic shots r nice
1:20:30 use ur fortune pick or axe for more potatoes, it also works for carrots and watermelon (and beets why would you want beets you weirdo)

wait til sky's figures out that the upgraded villager trades are still the same in 1.21 and locked behind the experiment tab when creating the world so he would have been fine.
