I am impressed that Pasha mentioned in an interview about the situation in Moldova, Russia's pressure on his country, and at the same time, Moldova's participation in Eurovision itself promotes the country's culture and at the same time improves its international reputation in the difficult times that Moldova is going through, but it is clear that interest in Moldova is growing thanks to a good song and even the Minister of Culture has financially supported the Moldovan delegation, and President Maia Sandu herself keeps her fingers crossed for her compatriots in the colors of Moldova at Eurovision, so there is no other option Moldova must be in the final with such an excellent ethnic song in Romanian 🙂

Thank you Sasha for making justice to our mutual folklore. As a Romanian fan I feel so moved that we have the chance to see on the stage such a cool interpretation of Balada Miorița❤

aw Pasha does his best to explain Miorița in short terms. but yes - the song borrows a line from a very old folk ballad about a Moldovan shepherd who is confronted with a vision about his impending doom, being murdered by two other jealous shepherds. the being that warns him is his beloved and gentle lamb, who wants her master to live and be safe. but he accepts his fate instead - and requests the lamb to tell his flock and his family a lie, that instead of being dead, he met a beautiful princess and ran off to marry her - and not to worry, the sun and the moon will care for their wedding and he will be happy. i interpret the presentation of Pasha's song to be a battle of life and death and cosmic energy, a mortal coming to terms with joining the spirit world.

It’s russian. But his romanian is getting better faster and faster. His wife is actually romanian-speaking.
