Hello. I LOVE my Philips machine. I’ve had it for two years and no problems. Coffee is fantastic. But I’ve recently noticed towards the end on the coffee setting it starts to be watered down. Is that normal? I can’t remember what it looked like when it was new. I’ve recently descaled and added a new filter. I have reverse osmosis water. The coffee tastes delicious still.
Do you think the Barista Pro makes better espresso than the 3200? I know one is a super automatic and one isn't, just trying to figure out the best I can do for the money.
Is there a panarello adapter for our new Phillips 3200 LatteGo which might let us make thicker foam in a pitcher than the LatteGo produces automatically? Trying various cold milks without great satisfaction using LatteGo

Hallo gail. Nice review! I have a question for you because i cant find this information. Do you know how many gramms of coffe it uses in each stage of quantity?
Got this machine today and I'm very disappointed, the coffee looks and tastes weak (I'm using premium beans so it's not the coffee, also tried cheap ones), the foam is very thin and goes away as I take one or 2 sips, and since I know the taste of the coffee that these beans can produce, this machine is miles away of producing the same flavour.
Little late on your comment. But the grind might vary less on the bean roast, and more on bean freshness & humidity. Using one or two espressos to check the grind shouldn't be too bad. (If it's not correct, just make an Americano or milk drink!)
When I want to do decafe coffee, I do one scoop. Do I need to do anything to tell the machine I’m doing ground beans? I feel like when I scoop it still grinds the beans.
According to manual page 9: Press the aroma strength icon for 3 seconds (Fig. 13). - The pre-ground coffee light goes on and the start light starts pulsing
Does a little bit of water supposed to come out in the cup before you make the espresso? My machine dispense a little bit of water before making the first shot of espresso.
My machine is making the coffee not creamy espresso but more like a regular brewed coffee on espresso or espresso lungo options. Must be something wrong with the machine ? My Nespresso Vertuo gives me a better espresso.
I had the same problem. I ended with the following settings for a medium espresso roast: MAX aroma, MIN water, FINEST grind setting. Also the first 5 to 10 shots seemed to be absolute trash; just throw them away.
You are an exemplar reviewer on YT. No fluff no over-hype, just the facts!
In the market for a new machine & I immediate jumped on here to see where Gail stands. Gail’s opinion is the only one that matters!
I'm glad there are videos like these because the manual for this machine doesn't mention most of this stuff.
Can you show the Americano and coffee functions?
Just bought one of these, looks like I made a good purchase.
Thank you so much we were having problems with our frater and you were so good at explaining what to do and how to clean it so now we have frothy milk
You're so welcome! ☕

This now costs the same as Breville Barista Express. Would you recommend Philips 3200 over the Barista Express?
No! I guess the maintenance for 3200 is difficult and there is not spare parts ! But for sage you can enjoy

Thanks for the review! How often does the filter need replacing?
Gail does excellent reviews.
Philips 3200. Is there A disadvantage of not having an iced coffee’s choice?
Is there a panarello adapter for our new Phillips 3200 LatteGo which might let us make thicker foam in a pitcher than the LatteGo produces automatically? Trying various cold milks without great satisfaction using LatteGo
Does the milk become watery when using frotger
Gail please answer my question do I have to change the water in my machine everyday? Is it bad enough to use it for next day?
Thanks
What is the most amount of coffee you can brew. On the carina it only allows you to brew 8oz of coffee max even if you try and customize
Same with this machine, 8 oz is the max cup size

what if I don't want so much foam in my milk? is there a way to make it with less foam?
Thank you! Can you please tell us what was the grinder setting for the review?
Hallo gail. Nice review! I have a question for you because i cant find this information. Do you know how many gramms of coffe it uses in each stage of quantity?
Weigh your machine before and after making coffee, repeat it for all drinks and for all aroma strength. Please share the result here. Thank you.
Gaggia Anims VS Philips 3200 hard to choose one. Please help.
Does Seattle Coffee Gear ever reply to the comments?
Is the coffee it makes single serve or does it make one large carafe full?
Does this have 15 BAR? I read in one place it had 15 but can't find it anywhere else.

it is 2200 or 3200 ?
Would you recommend this over the Incanto machine, or vise versa?
I just ordered it from your website. I can’t wait to use it.
Do you have a comparrison against the 5000 series? seems like just one more drink option and stainless steel..
thank you!
Can you please make a video, or provide a link to if already done, explaining how to set the grind level depending on the bean roast.

Thank you for the review of this machine. I enjoyed it.
Can you show how to clean machine?

Tim Romitelli yes you do. I don’t have directions how to do it but I know you have to tell the machine you’re using preground.
Yes, you have to tell it in English otherwise how would it know?!
According to manual page 9: Press the aroma strength icon for 3 seconds (Fig. 13). - The pre-ground coffee light goes on and the start light starts pulsing
@@ZihaoYu Pulsing is good. :)
Just don’t use preground
What is better, frothing your own milk or getting LatteGo option with the carafe?
what do you mean by "your own milk"?!
@@hephaistion3 hahaha
Excellent review - thanks!
Can you do a review on the Philips 2200 LatteGo model?
you do know that there are multiple versions of the philips 3200 fully automatic?
one with latte attachment and one without?
Yes. One has the basic wand. One has the "latte go" milk reservoir.
Have this one and love it!
Great Video, thanks for all the information.

Mine does it too!
hephaistion3 looks like mine it getting better as they told me on Twitter. No water before the shot comes in the espresso cup today.
@@vashonm Ok then. I will wait. My machine is only one week old.
I think it's the cleaning cycle
Part of the pre-clean cycle
Thank you from Romania!🤗🤗🤗
It's the 3200 from SS...Philips
I love Gail
Nice review Gail

Tony Bui to set finer grinder should I turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise?
This is what I wanna say I make 2 shots of espresso to make 16oz of ice latte but it still not strong enough
Besides so gives you fake crema
1 scoop everybody knows the rules
1 scoop?
I miss the sunday mornings with gale
She got tired of working on Sundays.
@@SeattleCoffeeGear ah understandable thanks :)
Good investment, it will last a decade.
