Clips vary between 4K 60fps/4K 30fps/1080p 50fps
Seeing as I've become a massive Class 373 geek I've stitched together all of the HS1 spots I've been to starting from St Pancras & working our way towards the Channel Tunnel. Spots include, Stratford, Rainham, Ebbsfleet, Medway, Boxley, Detling and many, many more! Each location shown is captioned (unless the clips are in the same spot or at a different angle) as well as the date of the clip, workings & numbers of the train.
213 clips feature out of the 817 videos in my album of 373s (since i have been to the same spots an awful lot)! It is worth noting in some clips it can be a bit grainy (particularly the phone shots) however most of the clips are from my Panasonic Camcorder. You'll be glad to know that too my knowledge all of the clips in this video have not been seen on the channel before!
For those interested in the 373s why not join my Facebook group? It features the diagrammed services & quality photos!

THE RETURN
Magnificent video
Wouldn’t Alstom AGV been a better replacement instead of Siemens Velaro since AGV comes from same family as that of E300 technically ?
They most likely picked the Velaro for the capability of running under Dutch and German catenary voltages without too many extra complications, DB already had Velaros of the same model (voltages included) minus the channel tunnel safety requirements on order.
My favourite high speed train 😊
0:47 if only coaches 9/10 were coupled with an articulated bogie… then the amazing zoom sound at 300km/h (186mph to British folks) could not have that annoying gap
Great video! Thank you. What would you say is the closest point to central london where most eurostars would have reached max operating speed on the HS1?
The answer probably is Boxley Tunnel near Maidstone. Line speed from London to Ebbsfleet is only 230kmh (142 mph) before increasing to full 186mph up until Lenham. Boxley Tunnel is at the bottom of a hill from both directions so makes for great sound of 373s approaching. The spot features in this video from timestamp 21:01 to 24:54 and is also a popular spot among enthusiasts!
Excellent GEC-Alstom, de nouveau en service ?
Trans Manche Super Train
Not a lover of high speed trains once you have seen one that is it as far as I am concerned
Great video! My new favorite trainspotting on HS1. Thanks for the time and effort and for sharing it with us.
