What an utterly gorgeous improvisation 😍
Thanks!
20 minutes of beauty. We need more of this everywhere.
thanks!
The part beginning at 8:00 where you work out the theme that finally hits at 9:37 is gorgeous. It is the seeking process of improv playing itself out, but all of the emotion, striving and longing of the search can be heard and felt there in the music. Thank you.
thanks!
Insane playing, beautiful compositions!
thanks! just noodling haha
Wonderful arrangement! It really really evokes emotion!
thanks :)
You defo dig deep into ones self to invoke your emotional side. Well done.
:)
Hey dude! You make me cry 😉 Just wonderfull!
thanks :)
Great stuff, love your playing! Was gonna put timestamps but the whole video is worth the watch
Yeah I put timestamps when it makes sense, but the video is just one big timestamp haha. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful playing man, this sound is so majestic
thanks!
'Tis soooo true ohh bearded one 😔🙏 ... the patch in Keyscape I undoubtedly migrate to, for 'those' moments ✨️
😀
@@SamTheBeardGuy 😁🙌🎹🎶💥
you speak to my soul dawg
:)
very cool! I wouldn’t even dream of playing like this😃
All it takes is practice :)
I love just picking a key.... and playing just where the hands go.... For me, I feel like you're able to hit that "zone" a lot more easily than I can. I know it mostly comes down to experience, but I have a feeling this is just a straight improvisation, and going where your hands took you 😊
Recently picked up my first VST, Noire 50% off, and I get my piano back from another country at the end of the month, it's been way too long, and I've a lot of re-learning to do!
Dunno, I guess I just forgot my goal of learning piano originally was that I wanted to make people feel an emotional response, or connection of some kind, and share the same feelings I get. It's quite the craving! But I'm always camera shy, and can only seem to have these intimate improv sessions when I was able to approach my piano with as few thoughts as possible, in a very private setting.
Yeah idk how to explain it, I just kind of sink in to where I need to be and play. Keep playing and practicing, it'll come.

LA custom grand, cinematic, or softest i like from the whole collection. i do add a little reverb to the grand one when writing..
I’m a big fan of the grand felt with a little reverb. If the omnisphere “keyscape creative” is part of the possible answers then I really enjoy “piano for film” patch which feels really good to me
LA Wash, Soft ballad and the hybrid with the YAMAHA CP20
Pianoverse 😊
The one I created from the Yamaha Grand. Tweaked like crazy with external reverb plugin.
very nicely played, I always listen to your videos with pleasure. What midi keyboard would you recommend for someone learning to play, and only for piano plugins?
the Korg D1 I have is great
Agree. Except maybe for some heavily modified Noire, this is as good as my sould asks for.
:)
tres tres beaux !!! merci pour ce moment
BRAVO!!!
thanks!
Hey! Do you get any latency when you run Keyscape?
I’m coming from a Nord Stage 3 which obviously has no latency being hardware but have always wondered about latency running midi to something like keyscape?
You running direct of keyscape or in something like Ableton?
you wouldn't have midi latency typically, you might have some processing latency depending on your computer. But I'd be surprised by that. Earlier this year I had an older computer from 2017 and there was no latency.
God bless you ♥️🙏
:)
I feel You take me on a journey through emotions when I hear you play. What a talent you are.
I have recently started to listen to Chopin and I dont't know what it is but he just play straight my heart..
What are your inspirations?😇
Chopin, Mehldau, Keith Jarrett, Schubert, I love a ton of music haha. Thanks for watching :)
amazing.
thanks!
i would kill to hear some upright improv
I just did a session keys upright video if you want to check it out. Thanks for watching!
Brother, would you recommend Keyscape or Pianoteq 8
what type of music do you typically play?

Beautiful playing and sound. What is this piano?
Keyscape Piano on a Korg D1. Thanks for watching!
*Which* Keyscape piano? Did I miss the mention of the name of the patch?
Do u play with metronome inside your Earphones does tick-tick sounds on?
I do in a lot of settings, not for this.
@@SamTheBeardGuy genuinely what's your thoughts man on metronome.. because I'm a guy who doesn't play without it.. and while m not... im feeling lotta a emotions in any music.. but when I play with metronome all beauty emotions fades man. What's your point of view... Can u share brother
Can anybody suggest me or share how and what shall I do ?
bravo
:)
Who can share the ideal velocity map for the MIDI keyboard StudioLogic SL88 Studio? I don’t understand why Spectrasonic hasn’t yet made an official velocity map for this keyboard, which is so widely used. I made several settings myself, but none of them work as perfectly as the factory map works, for example, on my Yamaha YC73 (there is the same keyboard from Yamaha MO8)
reality is the SL88 studio is just a tough keyboard to play for a pianist. It's way too stiff for me, that's why I got rid of it. If you need a velocity map for it, it's going to be one that boost the mid velocities
@@SamTheBeardGuy Thanks for the answer. I've been using this keyboard for 2.5 years, and I seem to be used to it for most tasks, but I still can't calibrate it perfectly for the keyscape. I recently bought a Roland FP30 (PHA-4) digital piano for my living room. One day I connected a keyscape, put the right velocity map to it and... I flew away! I have never experienced such synchronization of my sensations with what I heard and felt under my fingers from my keyscape piano..
I felt that way about the SL88 with everything. It's just so stiff to me. Glad you found a better solution @@vladyslavantoniuk
possibilité de tuning ? 440hz ? 432Hz?
probably something like 436 haha.
The first patch with a little less reverb, I'm easy all about the tone
Yeah haha. I’m a sucker for good verb tho
but the felts thooooo gah
yeahhh they're amazing haha
HI, I would like to know more about this patch
It's just the cinematic patch in Keyscape
kind of sounds like melodies of life?
