Many could not survive on the way, the others was captured by British and Arabic soldiers. They were tortured at the worst way. Cutting scars on their body with a knife in the middle of the desert. Or they would put on animal skin/leather on the captured soldiers body, then this animal leather would melt down on the soldiers body which made the soldier eventually die or get very ill. Later on, there was no sign by the soldiers anymore and one of the mother of these soldiers wrote this song. Turkish soldiers suffered very much at Arabic revolt. Especially at Medina, the soldiers had to eat crickets to survive. Also one of the reasons why many of Hazrat Muhammeds (pbuh) tools was taken to Istanbul. Fahreddin Pasha (the leader, pasha of the Turkic army in Medina) took our prophets tools to Istanbul secretly with trains so they won’t get destroyed. “There is no clouds in the sky, what is this smoke? There is no deaths in the town, what is this moaning? These Yemen lands are so horrific... Ah that is Yemen, it’s (Yemens) rose is the grass. The ones who go there doesn’t return...wonder why?
