The master is incredibly talented, but not only as a carpenter, but also as a videographer and video editor. filming and editing are done at the highest professional level!
The efficiency and amazingly organised approach you have is truly remarkable. You have some really innovative methods for dovetailing. Great work. All my respect. Greetings from France.
Unos ensambles maravillosos!! De verdad es usted genial!! 👏👏👏
Amazing how cupped some of the raw boards were in the beginning! And damn, massive thickness planer! That's some fine sawing and joinery hudspah but was surprised you didn't use QWO with copious ray flake!
Now there’s a shop that knows how to set the blades up on their jointer, planer and table saw. No ripples no uneven surfaces and no burn marks. Bravo gentleman.
Does anyone know the method of Hammer Sound to draw the dovetails at 02:17? (like at what angle to position the ruler...) It is quite a clever, fast and neat way to do the dovetails!
I couldn't help wince when his fingers were getting closer and closer to the blade with every pass on the table saw ...I guess when you are that skilled a craftsman then you have perfect control over every aspect of your craft. I guess he's still got all of his fingers to prove it .... ....oh ..wait...no he hasn't
Oh, How I would love to come apprentice in your shop. I just hope it is in The Far East. I'm so tired of the Comical Politics in the USA. Nothing like making an Heirloom to set your mind free. BRAVO!!!
With you all the way, except at the end. Wipe on polyurethane is not going to last, not even 10 years. You came short there. Use a finish that can be restored, like shellac or linseed oil.
What would've been the correct way? EDIT: Oooh, I originally thought you meant the dovetails, but near the end he puts wedges into tenons that are trying to push apart the grain. Should've rotated them 90 degrees.
you have cut many dovetails in your day great control of your saw... really great technique with the plunge router...im stealing that for sure

Thank you for your words.
But I am not used to video editing.
I am frustrated by the changes in my body. (My lower stomach is sticking out.)
Dove tails done by hand with no gaps. Very nice.

Love white oak such a lovely colour and grains love the dovetail end grains 😀😀😀
Very impressive, excellent craftsmanship.
Very therapeutic to watch on this build.
I have some nice wide White Oak boards that would be perfect for that project. Beautiful craftsmanship!
Have you ever made a project to recreate your own legs in wood?

When the flush trim router was approaching the last dovetail I was screaming 😱 nooooo, and he heard me and switched to a handplane 😊
Magnifique, excellent travail bravo 👍👍

I'm sorry but the dove tail/router thing blew me away. What a great idea!
Why are you sorry?
@@Solid_Jackson I’m not, just a figure of speech. I was blown away at it, it was great.
@@vmoutsop oh I thought you had combusted. Sorry.
@@Solid_Jackson 🤣
Making the dovetails a little proud is a common joinery practice. Helluva lot easier to use a router then a plane 😊
perfect work !

Wow how heavy are the books you read. I like the router bit that cuts like a saw blade very cool.
Excelente te trabajo. Te felicito 👏👏
Beautiful work!
Lovely made pieces
Very impressive craftsmanship. No sanding unless he left it out when editing. ? I'd be looking at a router jig to do all those dovetails.
Nice music thanks for sharing

It is quite a clever, fast and neat way to do the dovetails!
Surely the wedges are going the wrong way - they should be perpendicular to the grain.
