    And just for reference, according to US Navy SEALs, Hell Week is NOT the hardest part of BUDs

    • @HKim0072
      @HKim0072 Месяц назад +69

      It depends. Hell Week is the most physically and mentally taxing part shoved into a short time period. They do it in the beginning to weed out the weak. After Hell Week, it's skilled training. Maybe some dudes will think it's tougher since it's specialized stuff.
      The toughest part is...wear and tear. Lots of dudes get injured and have to ring out. And, re-start BUDS.
      (My brother passed the first time, but a few of his buddies got injured and had to go through it again.)

      I was an Operations Specialist from 1985 to 1995 . i volunteered for the DiveFarer program in basic at Great Lakes . I failed the diver medical exam because my nasal passages are screwed up . I graduated OS A School which was seventeen weeks at FCTC Atlantic , Damn Neck Virginia . I received orders to USS Sellers DDG 11 homeported in Charleston South Carolina , which was good for me because my home town was a three hour drive away . After sailing Sellers for four years I accepted orders to Yokosuka Japan as a Navy MP . I graduated the US Air Force Military Police Academy and flew to Japan . After my two years of sea duty I accepted orders to USS Antietam CG 54 homeported in Long Beach California . I had to graduate the AEGIS / SPY1A Radar school at Wallops Island Virginia before reporting . I met Antietam at Pearl Harbor Hawaii on the way to a West Pacific deployment . A couple of years later I sailed Antietam on a Persian Gulf deployment with the USS Carl Vinson strike group . As an OS I stood many hours at sea standing watch in the Combat Information Center , as many as thirteen to sixteen hours per day . I had to be alert watching radar screens , standing lookout watch with binoculars , listening to radio telephones , plotting on charts . On my second ship I was made a supervisor and had to or keep other OSs to stay alert on my watch . Good Luck in your future , young Sir .

    I remember hell week, it was something that almost made me cry and quit. The instructors would F with us and drink ice cold water in front of us. If some people here went to the Philippines, then you probably know how hot it is here. I went a day without drinking any water at all and was doing so many different exercises, and they would let us eat till 1330 hours next day.😂
    I was literally drooling seeing the water, i didn't even care for food the entire time. I was just praying for it to rain or something. 😅

    They have to shit in each their own pants. there are no potty breaks. not only that, but they piss on each other to stay warm. It's hell on earth for a reason. the sand turns the inside of your thighs to hamburger. you have to get skin grafts. it's the hardest (physically) training in the US military. There are tougher trainings that are more mental (CAG for instance), but nothing is tougher physically. this is why there is no quit inside any navy seal. they just will not quit. the only easy day was yesterday. pays to be a winner.

Water hours , hot racking , sixteen hour workdays , sleep deprivation , sleeping in a coffin rack , limited contact with family , receiving Dear John letters , your girlfriend / wife / kids not being on the pier when you get home , Jody is banging your girl , your High School buddies make more money , etc etc .... But i wouldn't trade my time in the fleet for anything else . The guys I sailed with on two warships and served two years on shore duty as an MP in Japan are the epitome of Brothers In Arms .

That Trident pin, looked amazing on Marine Dress Blues. Think he went back later once they'd gotten into port to go through the Seal training program. this was in the early 90's so memory faded a bit to the actual details.

    they kept saying oh I can't do that. keep eyes on women these days in Kor. The United States have respected soldiers bc they know how hard is is to serve the country on the other hand korean women never try to know what happens in the military and never ever show respect to soldiers.
