    You've persuaded me to look for an AV Famicom. 🙂 Which game is the music from at the end of your video?

    To go further beyond, and get better picture quality, you need to mod your NES. I looked into it, and related mods require one to desoilder the PPU. Not an easy feat to accomplish 😨.

    • @TheGameDisplay

      I've personally always been very happy with the quality that one gets from Nintendo's official AV cable. I don't expect my older games to look HD, but I know that for some people even a minimal improvement is worth the trouble of modding. For those like me though who don't need the absolute best, an off-the-shelf AV Famicom is definitely a handy thing to have!

    It is hard to find the AV Famicom cheap on Ebay

    • @TheGameDisplay
      @TheGameDisplay  3 года назад +2

      It unfortunately seems like one of those things that's only increasing in price as time goes on. It may be expensive, but if you really want one, now might be better than next year! Or the year after that. Thank you for watching. :)

    One thing I've noticed is that the AV famicom gets a lot of interference from WIFI. So I wouldn't recommend having your av famicom on your server rack like me lmao.

    This was pretty eye opening and gave me more options to look at. I didn't even think about using the converter! Now all I need is a CRT TV....Thank you for the video! *Subscribed!*

      Thank you so much! I'm super happy that you enjoyed the video. There's definitely a lot of ways to play NES games, and I'm glad to be able to share my way with others! :)

      @@TheGameDisplay How noticeable to you is the difference between running your games on a CRT like yours, vs having it plugged into an HDTV via composite cable and running the screen on 4:3 setting? Not sure if you've tried but I'm curious of your opinion. From what I understand there may be very limited lag.

    Great video, where can someone find the second converter that allows you to play Castlevania 3. Keep the content coming!

    • @TheGameDisplay
      @TheGameDisplay  5 лет назад +3

      There is apparently a mod you can do to the converter that doesn't normally play all of the games to make it compatible with things like Castlevania 3 and the Everdrive. Unfortunately I'm not sure where you can buy the converter I use as I got mine used, but that mod might be worth looking into!
