  • Envelope Pocket Inserts
This pocket insert features two pockets on the back and an envelope in the front. Folds very flat but is roomy enough for a lot of ephemera. Create a closure of your choice to seal the front envelope, fill as desired and insert in a journal or use for happy mail.
    What you’ll need:
One sheet of 12×12″ scrapbook paper, cut at 8″ leaving a 4×12″ leftover scrap.
    Scoreboard
    Glue
Cut your 12×12″ scrapbook paper down to 8″. From your 8″ piece of paper cut two pieces, each 5″ wide. This will leave a 2×8″ scrap for your back pocket and another extra small scrap.
You will then have two 8×5″ pieces to assemble your envelope pocket. Orient your paper on the long side on the scoreboard. Score one 5″ wide piece at 4 1/2″ and the other at 5″.
Assemble, notch and glue your envelope pocket as shown in the video. You can sew around the edges of your envelope pocket, begin in one corner after assembly and end in the same corner keeping your envelope flap open. Use a small amount of glue to hold pieces in place before sewing.
Use your leftover 4×12″ scrap to make an extra pocket as shown in the video or for ephemera of your choice.
    Fill and decorate as desired.
    Happy paper crafting!

Another cute 12 x 12 project Mary, I'm like you about the policy closures, I close most of my flaps with those tiny velcro dots most of the time but I think a belly band is a good idea too. I think you could attach the side of it (not the flap) to the edge of your page with washi and still make it a flip out. Oh yay, my favorite color is yellow too, so sunny and warm and cheery. I hope things improve with your brother and sending good positive thoughts your way on the financing. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much, glad you like it. Yes, you probably could do that to make a flip, thank you for sharing. Only slight improvement with my brother so far, he is eating, standing more but his memory is just not coming back. We finally got the final tuition, yay! Now on to everything else on the list.
